  1. Goemon 2 & 3 have finally been translated! For the people who haven't been following the translation of these games, multiple people have tried translating them over the years but have given up due to the large number of graphics and complex font compression. This is quite an accomplishment. Just thought I would post them in case anyone wasn't aware. Really looking forward to playing these. https://www.romhacking.net/translations/5353/ https://www.romhacking.net/translations/5354/
  2. I was under the impression that there wasn't any video or pictures of these levels on the internet but there is a great video showing off up to level 4, so i will stop littering the thread with these crappy phone shots. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j1EArie7hYo
  3. World 4 & 3. 4 is the one with ruins and sand and 3 is the one with buildings.
  4. Thought I would add a few more pics of different stages. Here is stage 5 & 6. 5 is black background and 6 is purple. Stage 5 has a really neat mechanic of these blocks that shoot electricity from one to another, if you touch the bolt you will lose a heart.. You can move them closer together by shooting them until they touch and disappear.
  5. Here is the final boss and credits video. I don't think I will be doing another complete playthrough for at least another 5 years, I'm exhausted. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM-lBwk-e_E
  6. The boss is in a separate stage. If you lose, the battle just restarts over and over again. The boss was more difficult then I remembered. Took me quite a few tries to beat this time. I recorded the final boss and end credits, I will be posting it shortly.
  7. Yes it is the final stage. The trick to that stage is to always keep moving and take out the Dark Master, he is the only enemy to my knowledge that has a different drop rate for power ups. He drops hearts, speed and invincibility like 80% of the time.
  8. I was hoping to take more in level shots with some enemies but doing so means certain death. I sacrificed a couple of lives to capture some enemies in stage 7 and 8. Black background is stage 7 and red background is stage 8.
  9. I am up to stage 7 now so what I said earlier about 6 is obviously not true. I seem to remember one more distinct stage in my last playthrough, so now I am 90% sure there is 8 stages in total plus the boss.
  10. I own a copy of the regular edition from the Ebay sale. I have beaten it, but unfortunately it has been over 5 years so it is hard to remember any details. It is a very difficult game in the later worlds. I think there was about 6 worlds and a final boss that is comparatively easy to beat and should only take a few tries at most. He is the moon character you see at the beginning. I can make a small contribution to this thread, a picture of the end screen. Because of this thread I'm going to have to play through it again, I'll try to take some more pictures this time through. This is one of my favorite NES games including commercial releases, he is such a talented developer I really wish he would release another game. I talked to him a few years ago and he said he was developing another game so you never know, but I think he is likely one and done.
