Do CHN Game Boy Games' Pins Wear Down Faster??

I've noticed all parts of CHN games are "Made in China"; cartridge PCB, cartridge shell, box, manual, other inserts, and even the plastic case / dust cover states Made in China (on JPN and NA games, it states Made in Japan).

I've noticed more scrapes on the teeth / pins of the cartridge; I think I can see copper in some scrapes.

Maybe this thought is fueled by years of stereotyping Chinese goods as having low QA (and that all (?) carts have glop top--and we all know that means low quality--I don't think this holds water, btw), but has anyone else noticed this? Is my hunch wrong that CHN games are low qual?
