I love it when history based films pay attention to details!

I was rewatching "Son of the Morning Star" (which if you haven't seen it is probably the best film recreation of the Battle of the The Little Bighorn) and I noticed something I hadn't before.

At 7:30 in  on this clip there is a scene of two Native Americans dragging a white captive in the background. Blink and you will miss it,

In the battle when Reno's command charged the village 3 or so of his soldiers' mounts bolted and carried them into the village - where they would have been easily captured.  That night Reno's soldiers (trapped on their hill) could hear the sounds of captives being tortured.  When the Native Americans left and they entered the remains of the village they found 3 heads with no bodies.

As a side note the Native American woman speaking is voiced by Buffy Sainte-Marie - a famous (in the day) folk singer.
