Got an Intellivision Direct to TV Plug and Play system, still new and unused. There were two versions of this, one with ten games and the other with twenty five games. This is the version with twenty five games. I remember reading about this on the Intellivision/Blue Sky Rangers site in 2005 (around when I got Intellivision Lives! on GameCube).

This doesn't contain the original versions of the games. Instead, the games were recreated and run on NES hardware.

Somewhat flawed, but still pretty good. Played it for hours and hours in the early 2000s, alone and during parties. Got back to playing it in 2008 and recorded a video titled Mario Party Mini-Game Fun that features several of its mini games, which has more than a million views (and rightfully so; it's an official fact that I earned the views). 😎

Got the Japanese release a few years ago, and like that it has different music for the Mushroom Mix Up and Balloon Burst mini games.

OK, so maybe this doesn't quite count but I'm posting pics of it here anyway 'cause I feel like it.

Got a 40" Samsung DLP TV from 2004. It has Coaxial, A/V, S-Video, Component, and DVI connections. It can display 240p, 480i, 480p, and 720p resolutions. The seller included the remote, manual, and warranty paper. Plays some classic sound effects when turn on and off. Oh, and it was also free.

I didn't play the Wii U version, but the Switch version was the game that I played the most from 2020-2023. I usually played it online, participating in regular online racing, battles, tournaments, and VGS Game Nights. I did just about everything there was to do offline, getting gold trophies on every cup in 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc. I think it was either last year or the year before that I also played on 200cc and managed to get two gold trophies in that.

I was happy that they included a proper Battle mode in the Switch version like in the previous games, and also brought back the double item boxes from Double Dash!!.

I downloaded the Booster Course Pass tracks, and it was nice to see some characters return that were missing from the game previously. And while I did like that the pass included more remakes of past tracks, I also appreciated the inclusion of some all-new tracks.

I haven't played the game much in the last year, but it is still my most played Switch game as I've logged more than 500 hours into it.

Adding to my collection of Plug and Plays, I found this Fox Sports 7 in 1 Sports Games Plug and Play. They were obviously thinking of the Wii.

Got an '80s 19 inch Toshiba CRT TV for free. The seller also included the remote. It doesn't have an A/V connection. It was manufactured in August 1989. Not sure yet what I'll hook up to this.

Got a 40 inch Samsung DLP TV. This one's from 2004. It has Coaxial, A/V, S-Video, Component, and DVI connections. It is widescreen (with the option to display in 4:3), and can display 240p, 480i, 480p, and 720p resolutions. It was pretty heavy, but I managed to get it in my car. The seller included the remote, manual, and warranty paper. Gotta love the classic sound effects that play when it is turned on and off.

Oh, and this TV was also free. 😎

Downloaded Zook Hero 3 for Game Boy Color. I hope to get the cartridge someday (maybe even with the box), as I have Zook Hero Z and Rockman DX3 (Zook Hero 2). For now, though, I guess I'll play it on a GameCube via the Visual Boy Advance GX Emulator and an SD Card. The game uses the music and sound effects from Mega Man II for the original Game Boy.

I got this shelf in January and finally had time to put it together. I've mentioned before that I have two game rooms that are full. I also have video game items in closets in other rooms, as well on some shelves in my living room. So I had to put this shelf in my basement. There's no room for it anywhere else in my house.

Some of the items on the shelf are from my other shelves in my game rooms (to make them a little less cluttered), while others were in piles beside those shelves (because I had no where else to put them, until now). I still have some work to do, like adding more stuff and moving some items (like that Mario puzzle). Most of the games are in their boxes with some exceptions, like Mega Man 11 (the game and amiibo figure are in one of my game rooms).

Picked up this Filing Cabinet. I've already had one for years that I've used for classified files, but got this one for gaming-related receipts and invoices. Some of them date back to the early 2000s while others are more recent.

    Game Site: https://city-connection.co.jp/hebereke/en/

Downloaded Hebereke Enjoy Edition on Switch, an updated version of Ufouria: The Saga. It contains the Japanese version of the game, but includes an extras section that has scans of the box, manual, and cartridge for the PAL NES release of the game (as well as the Japanese release for the Famicom). It also has a speed run mode, rankings, and the usual rewind and save state features that compilations and re-releases have been getting for years now. It's kind of like the Sega Ages series, but with a Sunsoft game.

The game is probably my favorite PAL NES import. There's also a sequel finally (Ufouria: The Saga 2), which I'll get later this year.

Got this magazine rack earlier in the month. I'm using it for various Model Airplane News magazines (many of which are still sealed), the Summer 1997 issue of Collectibles magazine (which has a Pac-Man article), an issue of Tips & Tricks that has an Animal Crossing code for the elusive Nintendo Bench, and some other magazines (like an issue of a wildlife magazine called Wild magazine).

Watched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Watched the entire movie, including the mid credits scene. I'll buy the movie on either Blu-ray or 4K. Maybe in the Summer.

Great game (especially the GBA version with its improved save feature, added cutscenes, the addition of a status menu, and Luigi plays somewhat differently than Mario), but I'll always prefer Super Mario Bros. 3 which is my favorite Mario game and received a well-deserved 10/10 from me. When it comes to Mario games on the SNES, I like Super Mario RPG the most (don't care that it's a spin off, it's still a Mario game).

Did some driving and picked up this Mega Man 9 demo cartridge for the NES.

I played a Mega Man 9 homebrew a decade or so ago containing only part of Concrete Man's stage and barely anything to do. I didn't know what to expect with this cartridge. The seller just said that it has one level of Mega Man 9. Was it the same demo I played all those years ago?

To my surprise, the cartridge contains lukaszkur's Mega Man 9 NES demo (https://lukaszkur.itch.io/mm9). It has all of Galaxy Man's stage, playable on a real NES. It also has the opening, title screen, and stage select screen, all with their music intact. There are some graphical glitches, mostly in the opening. The stage flickers sometimes, and there is a section of the stage where the ladders and platforms were invisible (though opening and closing the weapon screen fixes this).

Bought this retro style Chuck E. Cheese shirt at Spencer's, featuring Chuck E. and his friends Helen, Munch, and Jasper. I wore the shirt during a recent visit to Chuck E. Cheese. I got a different retro shirt for Christmas a few months ago that just has Chuck E. on it.

Bought a jumbo-sized Mr. Munch plush.

I noticed these cards on eBay a few months ago. I was a little surprised to see them at the gift shop at the Chuck E. Cheese location I usually go to, since these cards were released in 2019 or so and wasn't sure if they could still be found at the restaurants. They were about $20 or $30 cheaper than on eBay.

Like most of these Chuck E. Cheese items, this hammer features Chuck E., Helen, Munch, and Jasper. I opened up the Chuck E. Cheese App and redeemed 1,000 E-Tickets. Using those tickets, I got this hammer for free. This appears to be another somewhat older item, as I've seen hammers there many times before.

Played it more than any other Crash Bandicoot game, and remember I got it when it was released. Was listening to the game's soundtrack on Khinsider a month or two ago.

Still have the shirt that I got with the game in 1997:
