jefferyrlc | 3 Posted August 28, 2023 Share Posted August 28, 2023 I've been playing this since release last week and it's been great. I'm on Chapter 3 right now, so I haven't finished it yet. I haven't played very much of FromSoft's other games, I have the Dark Souls games on Steam, but haven't played more than a few hours of any of those. Armored Core is not DS, so don't expect anything like that. It does have challenging boss fights like DS, but the average enemies aren't that strong. They will give you a hard time in large numbers. The mech customization is crazy and the game expects you to rebuild your mecha to meet the game's challenges. I've taken to farming money to buy all the parts from the shop that I can.
