My only gripe is the controllers. Traces can be rebuilt... controllers can be restored.

Does seem odd it loaded back to stage 1 though, was this on an actual cart on a nes or something else?
Yep, actual cart on a front loading NES, before the pins got replaced with the BLW

So a few years ago, I was playing through Castlevania. I was determined to beat it. I must have reached Death about 2 dozen times before getting a game over.
But with enough dedication, I finally defeated Death for the first time ever... and you know what happens next?
The game loaded up Stage 1
I havent even touched the game since.

To be honest, I'd suggest going with the Super Gameboy 2, or the Gamecube GBA player with custom GBA software (swiss)
If you want to stay portable, go with the Gameboy SP model AGS-101 specifically.

No way.
I do "collect" to play, but I understand that there are NSIB collectors, so why would I intentionally harm their hobby? I'd simply auction it off, and use some of the profit to buy a used copy.

I have the Vic-A Neo Geo AES, but no matching controller, unfortunately.
And right now, the power will intermittently cycle on and off/restart in the middle of playing. Will normally do it for 10 or so times, until it stabilizes.
I really hope it just needs a cap replacement.
I only have 10 games for it, at the moment. I absolutely ADORE fighting games, so I think I'm going to try and buy 1 or 2 games every month for 2020. That's my new years resolution. Topping it off with SNK vs Capcom in December 2020, lol.

I'm kinda shocked that people buy games based off of eceleb videos.
Then again, I still dont understand how being mentioned by Oprah will make your book an instant best seller.

I'm 27 and I've been in the scene since 2005. I own 41 different gaming platforms, not counting duplicates or revisions, with a cataloged 1320 games, most of which have been obtained at thrift stores and yardsales. I primarily play retro on a PVM 2030.
I volunteer my time and skills to the Long Island Retro Gaming Expo, and my favorite genres are JRPG, Fighting, and Rythm games.
What's new in your collection/Pick-up Thread !!!

Bought these from a user in a facebook group. Kinda. I bought loads from them in the past, and now they just message me directly before they make a new sale post.
Just waiting for the lot to arrive by mail.
