Ya this doesn’t make much sense...

This guy just spent stupid money on these from HA and is trying to convince the world it was a good decision.

Lol Kenneth comes through!!!
I agree. Vga doesn’t say first print, Vs second either. Like a left bros you can’t tell which print unless you open it, or something like a Capcom Ht could have 2 or 3 no made in Japan prints before the change to made in Japan.
They can’t just guess on print runs.
However this is A fun one. (Sorry Kenneth)

If you wanted a mint copy you shoulda paid for a 90 or better.
With ps1 they are grading the shrink wrap.
Unless the case gets cracked there isn’t much else to grade on their scale. An 85+ is either going to be heavily scuffed or have some rips.
-
That’s why it’s not a 90! What do you expect!? You want an 85+ to be perfect?
If those rips weren’t there it would be higher. That’s what an 85+ is. Not perfect but nice.

WATA and HA are separate companies, HA is not grading the games. So what if one guy is on an advisory board, they have mutual interest in using one another to profit and WATA wanted to tailor to comic collectors, so who better to ask? Companies do this all the time.
This episode of Pawn Stars was obviously a staged advertisement for everyone involved, but that’s what Pawn Stars is. I think that’s pretty clear to anyone who’s ever seen the show.
Is Jim Halperin an investor in wata?
And Hamster man... How do u know they were offered $250+ for a fact?

I dont have a problem with someone building their own brand...
The problem is if this Deniz is actually an investor in WATA, the ethics were slightly iffy on the initial purchase of the SMB to start with and it is definitively unethical to do this scripted plug...
Deniz is the owner of Wata.....

There have been “claims” a 75k offer for this particular copy was rejected.
I was, and remain skeptical, but when an oval seal Tyson goes for 12k or whatever, anything’s possible. I think that Contra is headed for 15-20k, myself. I don’t own any btw, as I know we have sleuths running around connecting dots lol.
No They we’re trying to sell it for 75k and that was rejected.
There are more of these out there than what HA is leading us to believe.
just like the gloss smb’s

What’s the point of the plastic bumpers on each corner of the top can just snap off?

My old sealed sticker dk math was found by wata (x-ray?) to contain a 3 screw cart, and be a slightly later revision of the box which makes no sense but nonetheless so it was. There had to be some made with leftover parts such as that copy.
Why would they have sealed it as a sticker seal though? They didn’t even have the tooling and molds to make 3 screw carts that early when sticker seals were still being used? Figured they woulda shrink wrapped it. Very odd
That is actually a very cool copy of Jr math...

Where did this 10k printed number come from.??
Dk gloss was 8 months after launch....
they were not in the “test market” 8 months after launch.... they only printed 10k smb matte and gloss in a year of printing and sales?
-
Asked a million dollars...
Hey Deniz. Come by the pawn shop. We need you to appraise an item that’s owned by your investor and the company that sells your games..
wasn’t Deniz on camera A year ago saying it was worth 30-40k?

I've always liked having price stickers on the games.

But that’s not a price sticker.

Try using quotation marks. I believe it has that basic level of functionality.
I tried that and it didn’t work still for me

Oh awesome!!
man it is sad the NA stuff is gone...
You can access it by the search function but it barely works. Every word you type will search for every word separately on gocollect.
So if you search 5 screw variant;Every post with 5 in it shows up, every post with screw, and every post with variant...

A little off topic, but do people not trust / are mad at certifiedlink ? The reason I think this is the stickers on eBay appear to be going to competitive pricing. Someone even paid $125 for that matte sticker gyromite ! The wata 7.5 went for $250, and a wata 4.5 went for $95 at that certified link auction.
just confuses me.
Yoinking that matte sticker for a third print Mario..
