People that are hating on Death Proof don't understand what an amazing car chase movie it is and what makes it so.  It's not just an homage to Vanishing Point, but also a send-up to stunt performers, too.  Plus, it really has some fun grindhouse moments smattered into it.  I love the cut to the yellow car and the cheerleader; the breaks and the color drop are great.

I've always been a "classic rock" guy, but I've started dipping into some of the older (heavy?) metal bands the last few years.  I try to learn new groups by going through teir catalogs chronologically. I'm up through Powerslave with Iron Maiden, and I've been looking for an original vinyl for Dio's Holy Diver.  Dokkhen is now on my radar, too, after hearing their song in Nightmare on Elm Street 4(?).  

That said, I get distracted easily.  Currently, I am enjoying Rush's debut album, and the Gorillaz are on deck.

I am currently cleaning up a couple of really dirty old consoles, and it got me thinking. One of the worst parts of these tends to be the RF shield. I have seen them rusted, gunked with food or drink, and after a good scrubbing, they come out dull.  I have seen some YouTube videos where people have re-electroplated metal components like battery contacts, and I was wondering if it might be useful to the same to cleaned up shields.

Does anyone have any insight or experience with this?  Is it useful to do?  I don't know enough about electronics to know if the electroplating plays a significant role in the shielding aspect of the component, or is the underlying metal doing the bulk of the work?  I don't know how much of it is just cosmetic. 

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

What I do in situations like this is remove the wrap and cut the sticker out to save inside the box. The cello itself is just worthless in my book, and actually makes it look worse than a nice box protector or something. 

I was really tempted by the Mushi release and mini cab, but I have a stack of shooters to play and need to lower the backlog a bit. Plus, bullet hells are not something I have taken time to get good at yet.
