  1. As of Wednesday night in Oklahoma, our Governor issued directives:

    • A "Safer-at-Home" Executive Order statewide for vulnerable groups (65+ and/or immune compromised) until April 30th. Today it was announced that this will be enforced.
    • The 19 counties with positive tests and deaths have "non-essential" businesses closed. I believe this has been expanded to the (now) 37 counties with infected and will expand going forward. Food Pick-up, Curbside, and delivery are still allowed and I believe liquor stores and dispensaries.
    • Gatherings of 10+ statewide are banned.
    • All elective surgeries and minor procedures to be postponed (preserve medical supplies and PPE).
    • Visitors prohibited at OK nursing homes, care facilities, retirement homes.

I'm not sure why it isn't statewide for non-essential businesses.

We've gone from the following positives and deaths:

    • Monday, March 23: 81, 2 deaths
    • Tuesday, March 24: 106, 3 deaths
    • Wednesday, March 25:  164, 5 deaths
    • Thursday, March 26: 248, 7 deaths
    • Friday, March 27: 322, 8 deaths

From what I am hearing, most people are getting turned away from the ER when requesting testing with major symptoms and are being told to come back when they get worse due to testing shortages. The doctors' offices / Teledoc are referring patients with symptoms to get tested and visit an Urgent Care or ER; Urgent Cares are pre-screening all patients beforehand and likely referring to ER (in-turn denying many the testing). Those that can get tested there is a 24 hour - 4+ day turnaround time for results depending on the lab it gets sent to. I've also heard they plan to be opening some drive through testing stations in a few of the larger areas.

For future reference, if you are concerned about a game selling out quickly, you need to have your account setup and logged in with payment info ready to go BEFORE you try to buy.

Not everything sells out quickly or immediately, but for the popular stuff, if you waste time entering passwords or payment info, you will almost always miss out.

Thank you, I will remember that for the future. The games looked interesting to me as I played Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced on my GBA growing up and seemed similar. Maybe I will get them digitally if I feel like playing it in the future, I just prefer physical if possible.

  3. I've been really missing Super! BitCon. It seemed to be doing well, but I suppose the storm / tornado around the weekend of the last one (2017) really did its work on the financials. It was interesting and fun listening to Marc Summers and Phil Moore that year, though it had to be hosted at Main Event instead of the Expo Center.

I think my wife and I will be attending Let's Play this year.

Stardew is excellent, beats the shit out of any of the Harvest Moon games that have been released in the last 20 years or so.

Rune Factory is a good series from the same Japanese company (Harvest Moon Bokujō Monogatari / Story of Seasons), combining farming and battling. RF4 is coming to the switch in a couple weeks.

  5. I don't have much time during the week, but I try to walk twice a day (10-15 minutes each time) as a break from work. Sometimes I am too swamped though.

My wife and I started to do a monthly calendar for walking during the evenings together, with slight motivating rewards during the week (total minutes) as well as monthly rewards (days that month). This helps motivates us and also it is nice to catch up and chat during our walks.

We try to keeps the carbs low as well.

  6. My father in law took my wife and I to see it at a local theater and we really enjoyed it. Crazy to see when it transitions to color as well as learning about the aforementioned lip-reading.

You can definitely tell it was a passion film from Peter Jackson, the dude even had his own artillery they used to make some of the blasts.

  7. We signed up last week, but unfortunately there is an issue with casting it to our Vizio TV's Chromecast and there is no native Vizio app for Disney+. I had to dust off my Chromecast we used with our old Samsung TV that went kaput a couple months back. All is working well now!

  8. We usually begin our shopping excursion at our local Aldi for the packaged food essentials due to the savings (and still great quality). Then we go to the nearby Wal-Mart Neighborhood to conclude the trip for the rest of the food and necessities.

Usually we only need to go food shopping once a month.

  9. Sure thing, for some reason all media content is separated by months, and I would still like to see some content / photos. Still won't help on mobile though, but will for the browser at work.
