Yes just to confirm it did not sell on this site -- private sale -- I took more than $1k LOL trust me -- but i certainly misjudged the collector's state of mind when trying to sell so many titles at once.  

If I didn't have other things to do I could have probably taken time and done very well -- but time is of the essence in our situation and my expense was urgent.  Therefore I took the best offer -- as I said we would -- and now I REALLY am gone forever.  Call me crazy - but I generally do what I say I am going to do -- hope you guys are the same?!

IN FINAL - I got a new job, had kids and he also barely had time to source/sell/be very involved as this was a hobby put second to 90% of things in our lives at the time.  So we turned it off.  We went about our lives.  No one thought about this collection until a major expense ie wedding, house (tried lately?) medical bill etc. brought the idea to get the stuff out.  TRUST ME we were 10X more surprised to see the market than you guys are about seeing us sell this collection.  We pulled this stuff out of the safe/closet with the sole and only purpose of selling it all- to fund an expense that is waiting to be paid.  If that makes sense. 

Just wanted to help everyone understand our thought process.

I am calling it a night - don't hate me guys I knew coming into this I was going to get a LOT of flack so I am trying to be as transparent as possible by providing the best information/pics I can give you in person. 

Not trying to throw around my business acumen and shout etc just trying to at least show that I have experience in this space and I am confident in what I am selling. 

This is not trying to be cocky or anything it's an "unbelievable" thing to try and sell this much stuff so I am trying to do my best to make this "believable" in any way I can.  

Very sorry if I am coming off as condescending I am more or less wanting serious buyers to really get in there and put some time into this offer because this is a great lot for someone who is nearing the end of the set especially in the CIB market which is getting more and more difficult. 

Retro games were a very important part of our free time when we were kids and before we became heavily involved in work/family/the things you do when you grow up.  I am not looking to step on anyone's toes or be the big guy beating his chest in here.  

I simply want people to look.  If this draws bad attention to me, I will take it because this my goal is for someone who is really trying to finish this set or looking to run a business in this marketplace to grab this while it is here and on the market.  I am emotionally attached to it sure, but once this sale is done I will go about my life and probably never post here again or try and build a repuation etc. 

My goal is to get folks to look at this collection and make a fair offer.  Best offer takes it.  We have other opportunities and can use the capital.  Simply put.

Do you know how many times I tried to price it out of reach and it sold before I could get up from the keyboard or while I was listing?  Have over 10,000 transactions w/ data to show I got LITERALLY 10X Price charting AVG for XEN the Ninja Warrior Factory FRESH like some of these titles in 2017.  I can send you a sales long and PC AVG at the time per your request to prove I am not bluffing.

One more to prove I am not bluffing look at ROLLER GAMES -- see that AVG?  I got $100 for this copy no questions asked and they were STOKED to get it.  I can also send you proof -- I can send you proof of an obscure foreign title I bet you cant price accurately and I got 4 offers @ $300 & sold it at $450 the next day.  I can prove this send PM.

Clearing up some of the foreign language to some: 

HTF = Hard to Find = Titles that are a PAIN to find either 1) AT ALL or 2) in VERY NICE condition.  

SMB1/RS/NO TM = Super Mario Bros. 1 w/ Round Seal of Quality, No TM after Nintendo mark page 2 - indicating an earlier edition (probably wrong oh well). 

SOQ = Seal of Quality - round CAN be more sought after (my opinion) all subjective of course.  (probably wrong).

SCREW column represents the # of screws found on the back of the cartridge.  3 & 5 screw are 2 of the determining variants typically sought after when combined w/ other indicators of print/rarity.  (probably wrong).

The Sachen are the "original art" variants, more rare and highly sought after w/ the LRH = Little Red Hood and "Penguin" Penguin & the Seal being typically more sought after ESP in very nice condition. (probably wrong).

"Hang Tab Unpunched" refers to whether or not the hang tab on the back of the retail box has been punched to display the game in a retail space or other market place.  Difficult to source HTF games w/ unpunched hang tabs due to the frail nature of the perforation -- being honest I punched 1 hang tab on the SACHEN OG (original) art set while cataloging them taking WAY more time that I should - mistakes happen!  (unfortunate though!)

My formula and spreadsheet are derived from a common formula used in high end communities when deterring a STARTING PRICE for negotiations as no one knows the TRUE value as it is completely subjective to individual risk tolerance/liquidity/definition of quality etc.  That formula is as stated above Price Chart Avg. X2 for "VERY NICE" as it will be at least X2 as difficult to find a HTF/rare title in "VERY NICE" condition.

"VERY NICE" - conservative term to indicate titles worth considering - as we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder and price is subjective.  This gives them a starting point to 1) create value by starting with the avg/acct for quality by 2X and honestly some have standards of 2X that value if it is in shrink wrap/has all factory inserts, particular HTF inserts unique to that title.

Look at 1. How many are for sale right now? example: OK 1 copy on the market- it's shot/avg and doesn't even have the poster right - your copy is still in shrink, has all factory inserts, and the cart looks like it has never been put into a system right - OK now go to price charting and you CAN look at the AVG but what I do is click the actual sales and do 2 sorts -- 1 by high price, examine that copy, lets say it is a very nice copy BUT no shrink, no inserts etc.  You look at how many have sold on the market to get the avg -- say it's 2 copies in 2020 and the price 2X the next time one hit the market. 

The second sort is by date to see the time between copies hitting the market.  Look at a more known title and how many sell annually vs some of these titles. 

If you are not very deep into obtaining the collection and working on the last 200 titles it gets EXTREMELY difficult to source these titles in great condition (my opinion again).   If you haven't been into the endless rabbit hole that can be HTF high end niche foreign/boots etc. It is very hard to get where I am coming from lol.  

But yea - check them out - we are very proud of this lot and it will sell on Sunday no matter what, we just want folks to look at it -- pic link are right beside the PC AVG price line and takes you into the master folder corresponding to the item's letter/category - I have tried to make this very convenient for potential buyers. 

Lastly - the records show proof of ownership/origin of the items.  We stopped collecting pretty much instantly when I got a new job that required 2X, starting family etc.  Before we stopped our collection was pretty much parts of 3 or 4 very large collections.  Example 1,000 pcs of CIB NES/SNES/N64 in one buy selling off 600 and keeping 400 units type of buys.  I do e-commerce for a living (other markets) so could pretty much list 100 games a day and ship 50 if that was what had to be done. 

OK about the price -- Every deal starts w/ a conversation.  Price has never been a factor in my decision making, if the seller will not negotiate, I will move along.  If they are willing to negotiate, you can then begin to outline your intentions and see if they are willing to take less.  

We are being VERY flexible - we have added crypto & trades to strengthen offers etc. 

How many offers or conversations have hit my inbox?  Zero.  

How about this - I want everyone to feel like I am being fair. 

MINIMUM OFFERS:  

CASH ONLY = $35K MINIMUM -- PC AVG @ 210 titles not including very nice (NM on some but cant say it or the elitist will draw his sword). 

CASH+TRADE MINIMUM = $20K + TRADE

Many other round seal manuals, power glove, NES top loader game genie, look at the Felix, Krion Conquest, Dragon Warrior run (IV in particular) and also the condition of titles like Swamp Thing and Toxic Crusaders, Treasure Masters is crisp, the TMNT has "all inserts" / 2X very rare HTF ultra game plan ($80 to the the right guy, offered twice when I had some of this stuff on online).

Important to note when we were sourcing this collection we were nearing the end of the set (still haven't finished) and a lot of this stuff never appeared on the public marketplaces and we did not use social media or any group.  We sourced most of this via asking sellers of quality items on eBay (and other public marketplaces) if they had any other titles they planned on selling.  and to send a list so we could make them an offer they couldn't refuse and lock them down ASAP. 

Most of our personal and share collections were purchased via selling our entire N64 collection (very painful/full set/50 CIB/400 pcs total) and buying large bulk and upgrading/selling duplicates.  Right or wrong it helped us to secure titles that are still hard to come by hence the $333 avg/ 70 titles in the rare section when you X2 PC avg and w/ many having rare maps, reg cards, game plans etc X2 is conservative (once again my opinion). 

FINAL THOUGHT:  We were VERY aggressive in buying HTF titles in good condition from 2014-2016.  We really wanted to finish the set AND had a little money set aside AND had steady jobs AND we could sell online in our free time --- so  it was worth it to make an offer that would make most folks  when we saw a title hit the market.  It was getting that difficult to fill in the gaps if you get what I mean! (see Bucky O'Hare Manual reference above).

Sorry for the rant -- Just wanted to be clear the purpose of selling this big lot at once!

Hey Guys.  

I am looking to sell my entire collection.  Couple of hundred NES CIB titles and a few SNES CIB - we had 900 CIB NES & SNES at one point and sold roughly 500 in 2016.  

We kept back most of the rare titles.  We purchased them from a guy who got them all sealed from a video store close out in the early 2000's when they were considered obsolete.  He carefully slit the shrink on the top and opened them once to explore the contents as he was an interested collector.   To or knowledge the greater majority of the games were not opened again until we put them online in 2016.  They have sat protected in climate controlled storage for 5 years. 

We were considering getting a few graded and selling slowly but wanted to put a feeler out for the entire collection.
