  1. I have a copy of Gauntlet: Dark Legacy CIB Black Label.  There is some wear to the edges of the cover art as well as light wear in general due to age.  Bottom of the case is cracked, see pics for details.  Game is untested due to no longer having a PS2 anymore.

$18 shipped to members in the United States, not shipping to Canada at this time.

Payment via Paypal, F&F would be nice but not required.

  2. SPOILERS:

Got it this morning at Fred Meyer.  Put on Mario 64 and have been playing for half an hour or so.

    First thoughts:

Mario seems to slide a bit or turn a bit when doing tight 180s.  Maybe cause it's been awhile since I played the 64 version but it's a bit weird to me.  Maybe a bad joystick on my end but my pro controller has been good to me.

Nice sharp graphics, but still retaining much of the N64 charm.  I think it is better than the OoT and MM remake on 3DS

l think the intro scenes seem a tiny bit sped up as well.

Doing the triple jump in the opening area before entering the castle seems to be much higher than I remember.  Doing it in stages seems normal though

No more, SO LONG GAY BOWSER.  That's been changed to Bye Bye.

Overall I like it and I think it's pretty good overall considering I haven't touched Sunshine or Galaxy yet.  I'd give it a 9.5 for the most part so far.

  3. I'll be getting this day 1 for sure.  I honestly haven't touched my Switch since the end of July aside from repairing the controllers, been mostly on a PS2 kick lately.  So this is just what I needed.  Last game I played on there was beating Super Mario Odyssey a second time so I'm ready for some more Mario goodness.  I haven't preordered anything since GTA San Andreas, but I'm considering it this time due to the limited quantities physically which is the version I want.

As a side note: Any thoughts on making a thread where we all try to help each other pick up a physical copy if we can't get one, similar to the NES / SNES Classics thread?  Cost + shipping only type situation.

Thats really weird, I'd say a good 30% of my collection arrived smelling like smoke upon purchase and it dissipated pretty quickly. Thats even without putting any effort into to it.

I've had this problem with carts before, intense cigar smoke smell.  I ended up opening them up, putting them in the garage on a piece of cardboard, and spraying a ton of smell neutralizer like lysol, febreze, whatever you have in the air and on the cardboard around the carts.  Some I sprayed on the inside of the carts too, not on the outside so as not to damage the labels, but not on the circuit boards.  I did it twice a day for three days.  After that I did a quick clean of any residue and put them back together.  It's weird to say, but I sniffed those carts very deeply and all I got was febreze freshness out of them.  A few weeks after that I smelled again and the febreze smell was faded away, but there was no smoke smell after.  Just cart plastic smell.  Of course on paper, other plastics, etc not sure what would work.

If people are interested, may be we can do the same thing we did with the SNES Mini where we created a list of people wanting one, and if you found two, in a shop, you agreed to get one for yourself and another to sell to someone on the list at-cost (plus shipping, of course.)

    That worked well.

Something I'd be down for as well.  Participated in the NES and SNES ones and it worked out well for almost everyone on the list.

Thank you, just submitted my support ticket on 4 joy-cons with drifting issues.  I have a good working third set, so I'm sure they will last until Nintendo gets around to my turn.

So I used the above link and sent out four Joy-Cons on August 12th for the joystick drift issue on all of them.  Left side being way worse than the right side of course, but still an issue.  Got them back today exactly two weeks after sending them out.  Nintendo paid for shipping via UPS, fixed them and sent them back all with no charges.  All Joy-Cons are working great right now.  So if you have a few weeks and a spare set to keep you occupied until then, it's a free option.  Mine were all special neon colors as well, and I got the exact same ones back.

  7. I tend to have good luck with alcohol pads on cleaning hard to get grime off controllers.  That and either a toothpick and/or moist q-tip to clean between the gaps in the controllers.  Assuming you don't want to open them up, you get a nice long line of dead skin cells that come off.  I still have the shiny problem though like others have said which doesn't really ever seen to go away due to the grease buildup.
