Interesting. I have the games, but don't have these plushies.
Are you the guy who posted this blog in 2014?
http://www.wafflefoot.com/blog/2014/4/29/adventures-of-lolo-promotional-plush-characters
No, that is not me. Thankfully they saved the pictures otherwise they would have surely been lost. Wish we could see the final sale price.

Does anyone own or have any info on the Adventures of Lolo Plush Characters? I stumbled across a couple pictures from an eBay auction awhile back and this shot seemingly from a print ad. Were these never intended for sale, a promotional give away, or maybe released but sold in very small quantities? Would love to learn more about these if anyone has more info.
Thanks

I have a pretty nice SNES JR that I was wondering if anyone who would be interested in a swap for a NES top loader. Comes with controller, AV cable and Power supply (Not pictured)
In good condition, maybe a couple small scratches, no fading at all. Any yellowing is just my lighting. I can take more pics if you are interested.

No real discussion? Have you looked?
I was referring to post steam release.
People were so passionate about thjs game when it was no longer made and unable to be played, now it's available for $4! and not a peep in months.

I am surprised to not see any real discussion about this release. The price has now been reduced to $3.99 USD! Pretty crazy for a game that would not too long ago cost you thousands to play.
I've only played it for a short period of time but it seems great!
How was the release zxdplay? Did it meet your sales expectations? Any planned updates?

Looking back on this thread, maybe it isn't the right place to discuss our desires for Star Keeper rereleases or future games. Maybe we should continue those conversations in the Star Keeper thread.
I apologize for derailing your thread. Just a fan of a very talented developer.
I wish you the best of luck with your NFT sale.

Two things to consider:
- Is Star Keeper the concept enough of a desirable IP that another developer would take it over in lieu of just developing their own IP? I mean, I get that the original game was a hot desire among the retro community, but is there enough to make a new game worth while (and would people buy it if it didn't come from the original dude)? I'm not so sure.
- Is any developer who does want the IP going to want to do an NFT authorization to get it? I mean, I've never heard of this proposal being used before, and plenty in this thread expressed doubts over this.
I was making the argument in favor of him making another game if that wasn't 100% clear.
I do not believe that Star Keeper is that valuable as an IP. The developer is what makes the game so desirable. If he makes another game unrelated to Star Keeper, I anticipate it would be just as popular.
It seems the general consensus is that licensing the rights to Star Keeper is a bad idea, which I tend to agree with. If he has no desire to continue making games, you can hardly blame him for trying.

While it would be nice for more people to be able to play this game, I don't think he is going to budge on rereleasing the game or making the rom available. He stated multiple times it wasn't going to happen and seems to have very strong feelings about it. It is so unfortunate that such a talented developer no longer has the time/desire to create new games. I'm not making light of what a large undertaking that may be but the hype around this game would ensure an immediately sellout of a future release. Star keeper was sold at such an inexpensive price. A second game could sell for a much larger sum of money. Not to mention the companies now available like Broke Studios that can handle all production and shipment of the game.

Beat it again today, my third time since owning it. Never had to do any life farming. It is very beatable just relying on the unlimited continues. Only important trick to the whole game is on world 8 wave 2 there is a new enemy called the dark master. He is the only enemy in the entire game that has a different item drop rate to my knowledge. He drops items 100% of the time. So you can skip all the other enemies and only kill him to farm items. He also has one of the most annoying attacks, acid rain. It is imperative that you kill him first before he initiates his attack.
I can't be the only one who has beat this fantastic game, come on. I challenge someone to post a picture of the end screen.

I'm sure others are better equipped to answer this, but from watching many MLIG, Digital Foundry, Linus Tech Tips, etc. video, I think this isn't too uncommon. I think TV standards are now pretty standardized for HD signals and even if it's not, the refresh rates are likely entirely handled within software on some embedded chip. Since LG, Samsung, Sony, etc. tend to ship across the globe, it's often easier to make one machine and just ship out a different power brick, or only change the power supply within the unit. So, they just code in for all modern signals, as well as any common legacy signals from the past.
I can't say that definitively, and I'm sure there are plenty of "barebones" units that don't offer much in the way of refresh rates and resolutions, but I don't think your experience if likely uncommon for mid to high-tier TV models. It's just easier to mass produce 10m units for the entire globe than to tweak/modify those units much for each region. It's the power of System-on-a-Chips which run just about kind of device today.
I'm guessing you are probably right but it is strange that seemingly no manufacturers advertise PAL support and even highly respected TV review sites like RTINGS make no mention of it in their very through reviews. Even doing a google search now shows that there is very little confirmation that this is the case.

I bought a new LG OLED TV with it's primary use for watching movies/shows without intending to use it much for gaming. I was setting it up and somewhere it showed supported display modes, one of which was 1080p 50hz. That seemed unusual but I didn't really give it much thought. It was not until I fired up my Analogue NT Mini and was scrolling through my games list that I passed the PAL section, I thought could 50hz be for PAL? I tried Parasol Stars and for the first time no garbled graphics, no sped up gameplay, and no weird aspect ratio! It supported PAL! For the first time I have been able to properly experience all those awesome PAL exclusives. I don't know how common this is but it seems strange to me that I have never seen a single mention of PAL support on modern TVs. I just thought I would make this post incase someone else was as clueless as me and needed another reason to replace their TV.

I'm not sure if this is allowed on this forum but I am looking for someone in Quebec to pickup an item for me. Willing to pay $200.

Have a bunch of Virtual Boy games I am considering letting go of. All are sealed except for Waterworld. Some have a slit in the wrap from when they were imported in to Mexico.
Also have loose games for sale with manuals. Every US release except Jack Bros and Waterworld.
Sorry for the lazy post, just throwing it out there in case someone is looking. I can take better pics if anyone is interested.

Each game came with a different vaus; are you looking for both controllers or one of them specifically?
I'm open to either.

I am looking to buy Arkanoid 1/2 with controller for Famicom. I would be interested in the loose controller as well.

I can't praise this homebrew highly enough. I really wish the creator would see these high dollar sales and become motivated to release a second game. I think a release even at many times the original cost would sell out immediately. He stated he was working on a second game shortly after release. Such a shame such a highly skilled developer would be one and done.
-
I am looking for the Homebrew Famicom game Ilevan or Vegetablets Go.
If you have either for sale let me know.
Thanks

All games have bugs, the only bugs that bother me are ones that totally break the game/cause it to lock up.
In regards to the star keeper infinite lives bug, I don't think it is much of an issue at all. Both of my playthroughs I never bothered to farm lives because the game already gives you infinite continues. Even Super Mario Bros has a similar bug.

for those unaware: the Speed power up will actually DECREASE the Y axis range of projectiles from the high powered water gun by what appears to be roughly 30%!!!
if you start a level on a fresh life and gain a high powered water gun, note the range that each shot makes. The spread is massive!! If you collect an “S” or Speed power up, the range of spread on this gun is decreased wildly! Interesting to note!
I never noticed this. Just tried it now and the spread is definitely reduced by significant amount, good find. I find the reduced spread a big advantage, makes it much easier to land multiple hits on a single enemy.
