Those look nifty. I can't say enough good things about Really Useful Boxes, specifically the 64L and 17L sizes. They don't curve inwards at the bottom, they're sturdy, and they stack to the moon. AFIAK Office Depot is the only major place in the US that has them, and they're pricey as hell, but there's always a 20% off coupon and free shipping at least. Not sure if those modular ones are a newer line, but most plastic totes available at stores in the US are pretty much garbage in my experience.

Any insight into what size would be a nice fit for a  single layer of NES boxes? I've been looking for sturdy boxes that don't slope inwards forever. The standard totes are terrible for actually storing and moving valuables safely. I'll be moving about 700-800 NES games middle of next year so I'm definitely looking for something new.

I've only got the two sizes. The 17L fits 40 DVDs perfectly or however many CDs the other way. It can hold 24 NES games but has a bit of wiggle room you might want to pad out.

Since I set all these up and took a pic for the list I made, might as well milk it over here too haha.

Just a handful of  my favorite Japan only gamecube stuff that I have so far, ok so animal crossing in the back is the only one that isn't but I needed a big box to keep the puzzle collection visible.

I just snagged 7 more Japan exclusive titles over the weekend, stoked to see em in a month.

Oh man, this is gonna take a lot of totes... Thanks dude or dudette.

I don't have a ton of boxes, but I'm storing carts in the flat Sterilite modular stackers from Walmart. I think these are the 10 gallon size. I tested it with boxes and protectors and there's plenty of space, but they might rattle side-to-side a bit.

I guess I need to up my storage game. I'm storing most of my carts in a generic tub that doesn't fit them very well...but it's super deep so I was able to get most of my carts into two tubs. They're just sitting in the middle of my room...reminding me daily of how much I need to finish my game room...

Just got things cleaned out a bunch, here's mine. Can anyone spot the beer I'm drinking? 😄

my game room is really small, I'm basically out of space, I guess that should tell me something.

They could be shelves filled with anime porn for all we know! 😆

Brings back some nostalgia for me looking through small HK shops in shonky back streets. This would have been around 20 years ago, I remember buying a fair few pirated PS1 games back then.

I haven’t really been paying attention but I just noticed the show off shelf has become pretty stacked for NES.

Hey, not to detail the thread but where did you get ya cart protectors? I am looking for the same style but keep running into "locking" ones with tabs on eBay and aliexpress that have an extra tab over the label which looks stupid.

VideoGameBoxProtectors and Retro Protection both sell "normal" protectors like that. I throw out the ones I get in the mail with those center locking tabs, they are awful.

Oh my God, the box protectors with the tabs infuriate me. Are we worried the games are gonna jump out of their boxes? Am I being subliminally discouraged from opening my games and lessening their value? Seriously... WTF?

Nah but it's a great collection man. I should probably do a little paring down myself.

Thanks! I wasnt sure about it at first, and there are a couple things I wish I didnt get rid of. But in the end I'm happy with the stuff I have. Now just gotta upgrade all my consoles for my HD monitor
