While this game is easier and more accessible than the NES entries I've played so far, it also feels much more rudimentary. Going one hardware generation up should actually improve the game, but outside of the graphics this is a step (or several) backwards. And one could even argue that some of the NES sprites looked a bit nicer or more imaginative, I dunno. The platforming also doesn't feel quite as tight and the game is awfully short. I beat it with Ranma on Normal, but ugh, what a bad fighting game and it took nearly an hour. Well, at least it can be added to the list. Note: The CRT refresh was wreaking havok with my phone camera, so I tried shots with the lights on then off to try to get some decent shots. Awesome controls, move set variety like a fighting game; the only hiccup I ran into was how long it took me to figure out how to beat Banglar at the end. Played on SNES9X on Vita so I wasn't monopolizing the TV. For the three people who care about this game, here are the details: Scenario: 1 Difficulty: 2 Province: 5 Ruler: New Ruler, Female with Female Follower Final Ruler to Defeat: Ma Teng Items Earned: Black Dragon Sword, Moon Sword, Amulet (don't remember which one), Book (don't remember which one), Red Hare. Did not earn any rare items, unfortunately.
