Choice #3 was the hardest.  I like both tunes equally so I had to go with my current mood.

Same for me.  I went with 1 because I think it's probably the better song, but I have memories with 2 because my coach in college was named Eileen and we serenaded her with that song one time completely randomly in the middle of practice.

Spoiler alert.  I think I know who's going to win this entire competition.

Yeah, that song is just curb stomping the competition. But I think it's pretty worthy.

Come On Eileen is, I dunno, something about the song kind of puts me off. But that's just me. Might be the lead singer's voice.

I also have an Eileen story:

Years ago I worked with a girl named Eileen.  When she first introduced herself she joked , “Eileen over and suck your

“.  That’s it.  All I remember about her.  And I think about it every time I encounter that song.

Our pub trivia name has been 'I Came on Eileen' for a decade.

Yes, we are rather juvenile 😄

People seem to request the song quite a bit in our wake too

King of Wishful Thinking is probably the best pop song ever written... a perfect bridge from the 80s to the 90s. A shame it's gonna get knocked out this round.

It's a good song but I've heard it and most of these other pop songs a million times every time I'm at work in retail stores or even out shopping, it's the same playlist in every store on Muzak. Sometimes they even cycle through the same set of songs twice or even three times a shift for me. So they're not bad but I would be okay with never hearing them again.
