My pleasure! Didn't piece it together or buy new - got it from a friend's grandfather who had originally bought it.

Huh! That clamshell and tray are super interesting, because those are Nintendo inserts and an unlicensed game shouldn't have them... I'm very perplexed now.

You are correct in that assumption that it doesn't seem right.  They never had a case, so the clamshell is right out.  And based on the copy of Exodus I had, the insert should be a cardboard tray, not plastic.  Likely they got added/switched at some point down the road, because they definitely never came with a plastic case or tray.

I got NIV Bible secondhand, so don’t know if this came with it or if it was added on later. But it came in a clamshell with a purple tint to it. Looks pretty identical to a regular OEM clamshell except made in Mexico instead of Japan and it says “PRIDE” on the inside

Wisdom Tree Gameboy games never came with plastic trays or clamshells from the company. This was a 4 person operation (and later a 1 woman operation) and had 0 permission from Nintendo. The early releases had generic card board holders and sleeves for the games. Any Nintendo cardboard white game holder or plastic holder or clamshell was added later by a collector. For later releases they would just bubble wrap the game and stick it in the box. Money was tight.
