They've had 12+ a year since the advent of "In Your House" series during peak attitude Era

If we want to be technical, it was the 'New Gen' era, since the In Your Houses started halfway thru 95 and 1996 was the first year of a full 12 month PPV schedule.  Pretty sure they were beating WCW to the bunch.  I might be off but WCW was putting on more than 4 but less than 12 PPVs a year at the time.

Drew squashed Goldberg and Belair was a dominant iron woman and won the whole thing in her rookie year tho

I'll give you Belair, even though I would have gone with Rhea. Drew has been around for years though too so that's pretty much a moot point.

I get the feel good story of Edge but man. It just seems counterproductive in the long run to me.

Rhea had a good showing in the rumble but after losing to Charlotte and jobbing in NXT over the last year waiting on a call up, she has cooled a lot.  Belair is coming off a win over Bayley has a lot more momentum.  There is your plucky rookie win, didn’t need to do it twice in the same show.

Coming back from a career ending injury and going for the title he never lost is a good story.  Edge can still put out a good match and is a great storyteller and promo.

Edge was an odd choice but not bad and a nice surprise.  I thought the womens Rumble was mostly terrible with the dumbest spot I ever saw with Namois feet 'not touching' the floor. The logic is just so incredibly stupid that every wrestler who gets thrown out legs up is an idiot for standing up and walking away.  But they pushed the right people in the right places.  The womens RR unfortunately had the largest disparity between legitimate stars and filler.  The mens Rumble was good.  I cant stand Riddles personality but damn he had a great showing, laid it in and also took it.  Him and Bryan was excellent.  I hope to see that go somewhere.  Big E still looks great.  Damian Priest looks like a star.  Really hate the #1 winner spot, its just lost its luster and isnt as surprising.  Its like they took the gimmicks of the 95 Rumble and 99 Rumble and combined them (1 and 2 being there at the end, and an early participant being injured only to return at the end).  When I saw Edge at #1 I new RO would be #2.  Lame.  Also really didnt love the last man standing match because it looks like every other kind of match ive seen. Theyve lost their specialness too.  Wrestlers please stop diving off of high shit for the short attention spanned.  Roman is excellent but I think its taking a backstep working with KO in this backyard match.  Roman exudes badassness and having him in a match like this will lose its significance when someone (maybe BIg E?) takes the title from him.  A dominant heel shouldn't need help from a manager or be put in those situations unless a top face beats him to the punch.  Like when Drew and Roman worked.  The only finish they could have done is Roman win by cheating.  You want the face to beat the dominant heel at his own game and it makes him a bigger super hero.  Like what Brock has done, from what I remember.  But to do this with KO who isn't a top face (and by that I mean, he has the title)

Also I thought it was amusing that the smaller light heavyweight guys in in the 90s (Christian and Edge) looked like some of the bigger guys in there haha.  So over all when it was good, it was really good, and when it wasn't it wasn't.

Did anyone watch Elimination Chamber? I wish they would do away with the Money in the Bank concept or change it to where the winner has to cash it in ahead of time. As bad as the title inflation is, they missed an opportunity to unify all of the titles back at Survivor Series when they had the champion vs champion matches and try to build them back up to where they feel important again.

I watched AEW Revolution last night. It was... ok.

Spoiler

Bucks/MJF&Jericho was great. Some other stuff was fun. Christian announcement was meh.... ok but not that big a deal to me. Stings first match in years was cinematic as to be expected, but it didn't do for me what I really wanted it to. The main event was fun... but god, that pyro at the end was so sad. The internet is now ripping them to shreds, lol. Overall, pretty glad I did not pay for that PPV. It just shows me why I don't really enjoy watching 3+ hour long shows anymore.

Wrestlemania night 1 was one of the best nights of wrestling ever

Night 2 decidedly less so, though the Uni title main event was pretty solid

Too bad Raw & SmackDown have been pretty hot garbage since.

Also them releases, just holy cow

IDK if anyone follows Impact at all, but actually has been decent (from what I've seen) and their Rebellion PPV is going on tonight

This match is on currently

Title vs Title match, with two referees (One from AEW, one from Impact), and no less then 5 additional people at ring side. Surely this match only ends with a no contest lol WELP

Hopefully the match was good.

It was actually a pretty good match, though I don't know if I'd call it "overbooked" as the excess of people at ringside etc. didn't really factor into it at all. In fact in one case it did the opposite.

Main event aside the PPV was actually pretty good. Impact has been putting up some good stuff recently. They also stream on Twitch!

Watching AEW Double or Nothing tonight. So far been a decent show.

Current match on is the Tag Team Title match Champion Bucks vs Jon Moxley & Eddie Kingston

Looking forward to the main event title match, as well as the Casino Battle Royale.

Wonder who will be the TBA?

Hearing it may be Nick Gage, which would be interesting following the recent episode of Dark Side of the Ring about him. Though I'm still secretly hoping it's Daniel Bryan lol
