Makar | 1,946
Alright alright, surprised @ZeldaFreak hasn't already suggested these. How about the red and blue lynels in the original Zelda? And then, not enemies, but these are some of the coolest bosses in a link to the past. Armosknight Helmasaur King Trinexx

How about the red and blue lynels in the original Zelda? I didn't even think about the OG Lynels actually, you're right. There's a lot of room for creative interpretation with those original sprites. The reason I didn't suggest Zelda stuff is... well, as he said, 16-bit stuff and up doesn't really have much room for artistic license, so other than the Slogra and Gaibon suggestion, I was just trying to think of very simple sprites that could look really neat in his artstyle, so my mind just gravitated towards the older Castlevania sprites, since they're already very well designed, but still have plenty of room for imagination. Plus, to be honest, I'm used to the designs in the newer Zelda games, so I honestly kind of forgot how simple the original sprites for a lot of them were But you know what, you're right, it's weird of me to not suggest Zelda stuff. In that case, I'll throw in one more suggestion of a Ghini, in honor of spooky season

Although I hate to break it to you, but your Paper Mario characters won't quite make the cut. Anything 16-bit or beyond is generally too 'graphically-defined' to allow for much creative interpretation. When you see the characters in Paper Mario, you don't have to imagine how they look in the way you would for characters on the NES or Master System or Gameboy. Thanks for all the suggestions, though! The more the merrier! -CasualCart Once again, where Casual Cart fails, @OptOut is here to pick up the pieces this Inktober 16th! Was it cowardice that made Casual Cart look the other way??? Lack of talent? Or sheer callous arrogance and disrespect to his loving fans? Who can say? Me. I can say. @OptOut. It was all three. However, no fear, @Makar for today Christmas, your birthday and Hanukkah have dropped all at once! In an amazing TRIPLE THREAT posting, I provide ALL THREE of your Paper Mario suggestions lovingly reimagined! Up first, we have, um... spiky rock face dude? Anyway, he's James Bond now: Next, a chilling warning to all the little boys and girls out there on the dangers of drugs, staring Chain Chomp, I guess? Spiky Chain Chomp? Stay in school kids! Finally, we have a BAD day in the Mushroom Kingdom for our good friend Mario, ammirite folks?! This time staring... Um... What a spiky Koopa? What's with all the spikes on these guys?! Anyway: Enjoy everyone, happy friday!!! 2

twiztor | 847
these have been awesome all month so far. I've got a couple suggestions. Hope they pique your creativity! from Kid Icarus, the Reaper! also from Kid Icarus, the Eggplant Wizard! finally, Nemo! (from Little Nemo, Dream Master): either as himself, or i'm partial to him as a half frog boy. on another note, i never realized how popular these perler beads are until i did a google search to find sprite images.

One of my favorites you've done so far! And to be fair @ZeldaFreak, I wouldn't have really thought to look back at older Zelda enemies if not for your name constantly reminding me of zelda lol. Gloves | 11,759 Administrator ·
Final Fantasy for the NES was my first RPG. I don't suppose any of the monsters in the game might inspire you? There's the classic Imp which is the first enemy you'll see: Creeps have an interesting almost lovecraftian aesthetic: Slime/Ooze has a somewhat unique style for the time:
OptOut | 8,879
You know, I get a BUNCH of fan mail every single day, due to all of my fans mailing me. Amongst all the gushing love letters, heartfelt thanks and dick pics, one of the most frequently asked questions I get is: "WHY? DEAR GOD PLEASE STOP, STOP IT, STOP IT, JUST DON'T ANYMORE OKAY?!!!!11!!!1!!1!" However, the SECOND most popular question I get is: "Where on earth did you ever find that AWESOME OptOut TM dog picture with the sunglasses thing?" Well, today Inktober 17th allow me to reveal the truth! There's an awesome street within walking distance of my home, some cool fucker painted a load of dogs on the walls! I picked the coolest one, and the rest is history! In commemoration of me finding and appropriating the hard-work and talent of somebody else for my own sick purposes, I present a true meeting of two legends: OPTOUT VS. OPTOUT!!! 2
