The only song of theirs I know is Rusty Cage and I'm pretty sure just cuz it's on Burnout. Decent enough song but not something I'd go out of my way to toss on.

Great band.  Superunknown is a 90s masterpiece of an album.  I got hooked by Spoonman and I was listening to the album on my Walkman pretty nonstop in my sophomore year of high school. 

I remember Black Hole Sun having a couple different versions of the video and MTV played it constantly.  It was a good tune but I was pretty burnt out on it by '96.

Fell on Black Days is some of my favorites.  It's bittersweet and a little down but it really speaks to me.

Soundgarden has other good albums too but there's something untouchable about Superunknown.  Prolly just nostalgia and me being in the right place at the right time when it came out.

Anything with Chris Cornell is good in my opinion although I probably prefer his work with Audioslave over Soundgarden.

Definitely takes me back to the 90s.  Never got into them beyond the radio hits.  Enjoyable enough to listen to.  Was somewhere between 6 & 7.

The fact that they also make me think of 

bumped them up to a 7

Probably the weakest of the big 4 seattle grunge bands behind pearl jam, nirvana, and Alice in chains. Still an 8/10 though. It's more a testament to how good those bands are why soundgarden so often gets overlooked.

This reminds me that I have several import CD singles of Soundgarden in a box somewhere. Wonder if anybody still collects those with all the streaming services available.

Given enough time, I think CDs may go through a resurgence the way vinyl records have.  Maybe no to the same extent, but I believe they will become at least somewhat popular again in the future.

Have you seriously never heard Blackhole Sun? It was their biggest hit.
