There's no rule for this, it's up to everyone at their discretion. My personal thoughts: I don't like spoilers for the contests myself, I like to figure it out. One thing that's different here versus

@ninjistar I like using spoilers

I love this game that's why I suggested it. I play it when I'm bored. I forgot my psp however and am on vacation just like Doug. Might be able to play through it Saturday night or Sunday after work th

I was gonna play more today, but i got to bidding and sniping some ebay auctions, got me some good n64 games below price 😉

I decided a couple days ago my next purchase needs to be one of the snowboard kids games. All the 64 racers are so good and I haven't played those in 10+ years

i pinged him in discord, he hasn't responded, he prolly gonna drop a 2 milly soon 🤣

@Jeevan @NESfiend you guys are funny.  I updated my score about an hour ago. Nothing too crazy. I fell ONE FRUIT short of beating @JamesRobot's score. This is a fun, neat game but I wasn't into it this week. Glad I was still able to get a top 8 spot.

For the first time ever in the NES Weekly Contest History, this week featured Kiwi Kraze as the game to beat!

The game was a new addition to the contest, but not to all players. For a second consecutive week, the battle at the summit took place between our new skilled challenger @Sumez and veteran leader @bertsampson. It looks like the Human Cyborg got a new dance partner as the fight for the win was rather fierce between them, just like it was during the Tetris week. This time, Bert got the best of the battle with a score of 1,428,600, which account for a little over 100k more than his rival (1,327,000). Is this the beginning of an exciting rivalry between these two gladiators? Time will tell, but we can all agree that having a tense fight for the win always makes for a great show!

Though a little distant in term of points, another player did great this week by reaching the ending screen of Kiwi Kraze. This guy is @0xDEAFC0DE, aka The Puzzler, who managed to own 'this little cute bitch' of a game with a score of 629,000. @NESfiend was due to have a good run anytime soon, and it happened this very week as he landed a 4th place with a solid score of 445,000! Then, '2019 Contest Icons Hoarder' @8bitdontquit showed his head in the last few hours of the contest to claim 5th spot with a score of 355,100 and politely kick out @Jeevan of the ranking board with his 231,00 score. This said, the latter is still in the respectable 200k club, along with Videomation's Grand Prize Winner @JamesRobot (291,600), Star Shaped Buddy @ninjistar (256,700), VGS Graphics Master @CasualCart and, last but not least, Caveman Thag @CMR with 201,500.

To finish this off, let's note that despite being overwhelmed with all the chores, responsibilities and headache inducing problems that comes with moving into a new house, 2019 Shooter champion @docile tapeworm (aka skinnygrinny, aka The Grinder, aka 42 foot tapeworm, aka the styrofoam cup piece maestro), still managed to post a daring score of 17,500, which is only a million and a few hundred thousands points shy of first place! #HomeOwnerRepresent

As usual, thanks to everyone participating and see you all Prehistoric Olympians for the Caveman Games contest!

      LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!
Welcome to THE VERY LAST weekly contest game for this season!
And what a fitting finale right before our most expected tournament!

This week, our players have it easy, having to compete for high score on the easiest NES game ever conceived, GHOSTS 'N GOBLINS!
Without further ado, here's the SPOOKY rules for this not at all spooky game:
Play until Game Over You must power up your NES before each of your run to reset the drop pattern correctly. You may collect each 1-up only once.  In the second loop of the game, you will be allowed to collect each 1-up one time as well. Looping from stage 6 to stage 5 by not having the shield is forbidden Highest score wins Participation: 5,000 GENRE: Action The tournament details will be made public during the course of the next two weeks. Players, be prepared!
The contest ends Sunday, 10/25/20 at 11 PM VGS time.  Your user name MUST be written or typed on a piece of paper and be in the picture for your score to be valid.  The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid.  No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted.  No screenshots by hitting "print screen" on a computer will be allowed.  You must take a picture of your computer monitor.  There may be instances where this will be acceptable, but it will be at the discretion of myself and the contest organizers.  Also, the use of turbo controllers is forbidden, as well as any cheat codes, Game Genies, slow motion functions, or save states if playing on an emulator.  Also, we will only be using NTSC systems for the contests.  The use of PAL systems will NOT be allowed.  Good luck everyone and have fun.

It is time to GET SPOOKY! October is upon us. SPOOOOKYYYY!

So to start this scary season, nothing better than an horrific game, Monster In My Pocket!
Since our players are scared shirtless, here's the rules already:
1 life only 1 player only Choose whichever character you want Stage progress followed by high score is what determines your placing. If you make to the final boss, take your picture at the start of the fight. Your run ends there. Max score is 9,500. If you pass over it, your score is 9,490 and your run ends there. In case of 9,490 points ties, progress will determine who wins. If you hit exactly 9,500, you may proceed till the final boss without killing anything else... if you can. Any score picture taken at the boss screen takes precedence over 9,500+ points scores. Reaching the boss is a sure way to secure a top 8 spot. If you make to the final boss with 9,500, you earn the 1st place for this week. Several people can tie for 1st this week. Participation: 500 The contest ends Sunday, 10/11/20 at 11 PM VGS time.
