A google search came up with this thread: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=175641

Could be at least a decent starting point.

Yea, this is on of lists I found, but I don’t believe it is definitive. If anyone else is interested I can add it to the OP and update it with any others missing. Not sure if anyone else cares though.

I think it'd be good info to have for anyone who's getting into collecting PS3 games and wants to make sure their games are "complete" as much as possible. Missing the slip cover would be part of that for sure, so I can see value in it definitely.

Thanks for sharing. Will work on adding a list to the OP.

Not sure how much interest Euro releases will gather, but I don’t mind adding a separate list. If I understand correctly, I believe there are more slip covers in Europe.

That's probably pretty correct.  Those fuckers are obsessed with slipcovers

My concern is how old it is. I know Borderlands Pre-Sequel was missing, but it’s definitely what I was using as a starting point.

Edit: Added the following to the list...

Amazing Spider-man
Evil Within
Mass Effect Trilogy
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Working on more but feel free to post any that may be missing. Especially standard releases.

Edit 2: added several more titles that were missing

I updated the OP with what I know of US releases so far. Do you know if most/all/any of the US versions that had a slip cover also had one in EU?

I wonder if we could band together and get nice photos of all the slip covers?

I don’t have many yet. One reason why I wanted to document them, but the few I have I’m happy to share once we get a solid list together.

I’d also like to get a list of Wii games with a slip cover. Only a few 3DS games came with them, and I believe I have those documented already.

Well here's something I found that seems very comprehensive:

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=197962

but at the same time it mentions "slipboxes" too and imo something with flaps being only way of entry is not a slip-anything.

Ooh damn they got photos and everything lol.

E: The majority of them are broken links, alas.

Hmmm...that’s the same forum I used to get the base list I started with, but that is a different thread with more info. Still missing a couple, but more than the other list. Will work on adding those missing so we can compile one that is hopefully the eventual definitive one.

I just went through my games, and the only ones I have are already on your list.

I"m not a big fan of slip covers because I think they look out of place on the shelf.  I usually remove my slip covers and keep them in a separate storage box.  I prefer my cases looking uniform on the shelf (or at least as uniform as PS3 games can look with the multiple spine variations 😐).

Updated List. Added a lot that were missing. Still need to add details from each and may eventually work on linking to pictures if we have enough interest.

Please let me know if there are any others missing.

Edit: I tried to keep the top as mostly the normal SlipCovers, but it quickly gets into a grey area with dual packs and different types. If anyone has suggestions for moving any, please feel free to share. I definitely did want to denote what was mostly normal releases with Collectors Editions.

Saw you had the People's champ edition for WWE 12, but missing the Austin 3:16 Edition of WWE 13. Was a THQ store exclusive, the last I believe before they folded.

There's also some hybrid game packages like MK VS DC Kollector's Edition and Soul Calibur IV Special Edition (slip case over box) and Soul Calibir V and Guilty Gear Xrd Collector's Edition (slipcase over book) that straddle the line.

Thanks guys! Will add both to the list. Keep them coming and I’ll keep adding.

Both look like Special Editions, but do they appear to be normal type SlipCovers?

I wonder if I should split them into 3 categories. Normal SlipCovers, Collectors/Special Editions w/Normal style SlipCovers, and finally a third section for oversized, clear, box style, etc...? Anyone have any thoughts, or even care how they are categorized?

I didn't purchase it, but I shamelessly stole this picture from ebay. Looks to be just a normal slip cover. image.thumb.png.33ba0e1b79ef2d74f082cab3b019f63d.png

Thanks for the details. It would be nice to get pictures and possibly link to them, especially for some of the lesser known versions.

What’s the best option to do that? Would it be to upload each picture to a hosting site and then just have a link to them? I’m sure we wouldn’t want to embed that many pictures but not sure if there is a different option m. Thoughts?

Update: I updated the list and moved Fallout 3 GOTY to the regular slipcover section since it’s not Collectors Editions but just on the original First Prints. It’s mostly a normal slipcover, but the front does open like a book, but it’s only the front and doesn’t have any additional pages.
