Note, this was graded in December 2019, and WATA have definitely got better about properly cataloguing and identifying packins since then. Recently-graded CIBs have detailed info on the packins, with print codes, but ones graded earlier seem to be more slapdash about it. It's possible it actually does have the player's guide offer (and consumer safety info sheet) but WATA just didn't write it on the tab. Of course, now it's in a plastic tomb, unless WATA's matrix app thing ever actually shows up, we can't tell! You could tell, because there would be pre-grade photos for it. It may not be easily verifable for the "public" right now, but the submitter would have access to those photos and a potential buyer could ask for them if interested. It will one day be part of the public matrix though.
Dumars2001 | 164
Nes 1987 Zelda VGA 85 appears to have sold for $150,000. If this game cross-grades to a WATA at 9.4 or 9.6, I can see it selling for over $500,000 in today's market. I know this is crazy to say (getting easier and easier to say these days though), but I think the buyer got a "good deal!" RH | 4,898
Not much to say but yesterday afternoon I booked what felt like a crazy price on gixen to get Chibi Robo. I've been wanting that game since it came out, but it was always a semi-low priority. I decided to bite the bullet and just get it. Well, I was shocked to see my ridiculously high bid was over bid. They game went for $275. Jeez... yet another game I probably won't get because people are crazy.

Tanooki | 4,932
You'll get there, my finances being far less, I got pushed over the edge in the last few years as I couldn't justify being abused by the great scam anymore. Thankfully reality hit a few years before the pandemic pricing ass kicking set in. I'll get stuff when it's cheap and pre-sucky fair still, or as a bundle I can dump the disliked stuff to make the price fine, but that's about it. Thankfully most handheld games have remained cheap, so that helps too. Kits sadly are just the way to go thank to investors ruining it for the rest. MiamiSlice | 3,089
I already let go of N64 stuff last year, bought an EverDrive instead (which I still haven't used, but I have it), and when I picked up a Neo Geo Pocket Color I immediately picked up a Neo Pocket GD. Although I did buy a CIB Pac Man just to get the restrictor ring, which I also have not used (I don't actually need to play Pac Man on my NGPC? I already have 50 different ways to play it?). And I plan to buy a Densha De Go controller for the N64 as well as a big box VRU bundle of the game just to have a proper VRU bundle with the over the head mic. I have an r4 card for DS and I could easily mod a 3DS at any time. Yet I keep acquiring DS and 3DS games because I just love looking at them and posting pictures of them online for clout. Same goes for Wii and GameCube, I have a modded Wii and could install any Wii or GameCube games on it, but just the thought of selling a GameCube game makes me uncomfortable. Why? It makes no sense. I keep some NES and PS1 games for the Zapper / Gun Con, while I've resolved to play PS1 RPGs on my modded Vita, where I can play any PSP / Vita / PS1 games, and I can install NES games on my NES Classic Mini, Raspberry Pi 3, etc. etc. And Game Boy? GBC? GBA? I don't need these carts! Outside of special hardware carts like Kirby Tilt n Tumble, most of these are just vanity. But sell? SELL? SELL MY GAMES? AdamW | 713
I mean, I have a lot of games I've bought that I don't actually play the carts/discs. I just run them via CFW or whatever. I wouldn't sell the game, though. To me it's the same principle as why I also have a shelf unit full of 900+ CDs that have not been taken out of their cases for 15 years - I have to own the CDs to feel okay about playing the rips... Dumars2001 | 164
Nes Zelda VGA 80 white seal sold for $19,400. Seems like a pretty good deal for the buyer in today's market. It seems like ANY GAME that is factory sealed is selling for a premium these days, especially the Mario's, Tyson's, Metroid's, Pokemon's, Zelda's, etc. Minty CIB's are also going nuts, compared to just a month or so ago. Goldin Auctions entering the fray and accepting VGA games, is only going to increase everything in value/price even more. About a month ago, I wasn't really sure if these prices/sales were real, but with each passing day, it seems like prices continue to go higher and higher on everything and there must be more and more people entering the hobby, because of all these unreal sales and exposure happening now. I honestly think most of these sale prices will look low in the future (because of more and more collectors coming into the hobby, supply is simply not keeping up with demand these days), so I would recommend buying up anything sealed, minty, or rare right now (if you can) and if you have anything sealed, rare or minty, I would hold and not sell right now (even though you could probably get 25x or more than what you paid for for some of your games). Just my humble opinion. These days, if you own some of the sought after titles, you can sell them and buy a new car or house. I still can't believe this explosion and popularity in the hobby and what I am witnessing. https://www.ebay.com/itm/254760167707?hash=item3b50e3a91b%3Ag%3Ai38AAOSwiEFflwqq&nma=true&si=mdOX%2BnMVPOWLIXF1d8vkNA2fV34%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
