I got mine on clearance back in the 90s. My genesis needs some repairs (forgot to mention that part) and it's always been a pain in the ass hooking up the 32X with it's separate power cable. Especially if you hook up the Seag CD too you have to find outlets for 3 big ac adapters. This mod seems like a more convenient alternative.
