What's new in your collection/Pick-up Thread !!!

Nothing too special for today’s pickups. Just some Master System games that I thought I would enjoy. Also a nice fine layer of dust on the covers. I was speaking to the person at the cash register, and they said that other than me picking up my console with 4 games last weekend, and the 3 I just picked up today, no one has picked up any games recently for the Master System, but I could see why. Anything else worth picking up were missing the manuals, or were not mint. Not to mention how over priced some of them were. Some actually had decent prices.

I checked my store points, and I’m uber close to 100, so I can get anything priced for I think 100-120 dollars? I don’t remember what they said. In the glass case where they keep all the expensive games, I spotted very nice copys of Wonder Boy in Monster Land, R-Type and I think Phantasy Star. I’ll probably get one of those games once I reach 100.

Also without a doubt Reggie Jackson baseball is probably the best and my favourite game out of this pick up.

I got quite a lot this month.

I'd been casually buying NES games at the local retro store, trying to drop $20 in there every visit, but it's closing down this month so I grabbed some stuff that I'd been eyeing.  Also I got Sim City there earlier in the month.  Gamestop had a deal where if you buy five or more games under $20 they were 50% off, so I grabbed all six 3DS, two Wii U, and Rayman Def. Edition there for about $60.  Also got Paper Mario (and pre-order pins, not pictured) at GameStop.  I ordered Timespinners on the Switch from Best Buy after Game Sack talked about it in a video a few weeks ago, I'd not even heard about it before then.  I got Super Bomberman R off a buddy for $10.  And finally, I got the 8bitdo SNES controller for my Super NT from Amazon for $25 when they finally got more.

pretty much cleaned out of decent 3DS and Wii U games in their original cases

I know what you mean.  It was slim pickings and I bought practically all the in case 3DS games they had left.  I left them with like a LEGO Batman 3 and Disney Infinity.

Found this on a local pick up I grabbed this morning.  I just got 3DS out of my life but given what all was here and the price I went for it.  The DS stuff the 3DS games too (other than the 2 Mario's and Ace Combat) I'm already looking to re-home as it is. I'm surprised how comfortable that form factor is for the handheld, but it works.  I'm between keeping the few items or not, could be a nice tester unit when I come across stuff but for now it stays.

Got some more Favoritos PS3 games (I'm missing 10 to complete the Brazilian Favoritos subset).
Also got Fire Emblem Warriors for the 3DS for a good price. The only FE game for the 3DS that I'm missing now is the Special Edition of Fates.
This Japanese version of Gran Turismo 4 comes with an artbook. I thought it was pretty cool and decided to buy it.

Ran over to @acidjaguar's place to trade a bunch of stuff.

The games replace stuff I got rid of a decade ago.  Slowly putting it all back together again.

I'm a big Might and Magic guy.  I put 20 hours into III last year before a glitch wiped my save.  I'll go at it again with this guy.  The Xeens are still games I need to get around to.

He threw in the Primal Rage guide as I was leaving, just because he's that kinda guy.

Physical

Traded one of my extra copies of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door for these:

While this controller has a price tag, a friend of mine bought it and later gave it to me for free:

That being said, I'm leaving the tag on the controller since first-party controllers are rarely sold for that cheap nowadays.

Got some stuff in... apologies if I'm double posting anything, getting hard to keep track.

Got a good deal on the box and inserts for Zelda Oracle of Seasons and the complete Micro Mages from @rokushadows (not pictured are the tote bag and magnets that came with Micro Mages), then found the cart for Zelda via a Facebook group. Fire Emblem the Sacred Stones was a moment of "I'm just going to BIN this because I'm tired of waiting." I paid the going rate for a VG+ CIB on that one. V Rally '99 was a tip from @Sir Centroid, I also got WRC for PS2 in that deal, forgot to snap a pic of it. Sword of Mana I got in a trade, it also came with the lenticular postcard which was a bonus item, also forgot to snap a pic.

Random pickups here, got a really good deal on the Cover Plates, also a good deal on Mario Party-e being sealed, the shrink was pretty dirty but I cleaned it up somewhat. Eventually if I can get a better deal on a CIB version I'll let this sealed one go.

Some guy on Facebook posted this amazing haul of strategy guides he picked up for a $1 a piece from a game store that was closing, then proceeded to sell everything. Couldn't pass up a good deal on these two. Very excited to dig into Xenoblade Chronicles X when I finish Xenoblade Chronicles 2, then Shantae Half Genie Hero, then Breath of the Wild, and... well, eventually.

Added a bunch of DS games from a trade and the Catz and Kim Possible 3 were from a local deal. Something about finding CIB Game Boy games in local deals just makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Lots of Switch pick ups. I bought Luigi's Mansion 3 used from GameStop and they sent me a sealed copy. The nerve! I buy new games, they send me gutted copies that are beat up, I buy a used game, they send me a sealed copy! What are the rules?!?!

Oh, also, finally landed this one:

Have not had a chance to play this yet but I will as soon as I can.

Oh! And I added one of these to my office:

I think that's everything.

Finally added Toxic Crusaders and Turtles in Time to the collection! Been after Turtles in Time so long that I bought it at the local retro store. Best store in town!

Shout out to Double Jump Video Games in Vancouver, WA

Great selection and super friendly and helpful! Love these guys, today was my first visit after hearing about them a few weeks ago through the owners youtube channel, "Siccooper." Come to find out they've been open for a few years now not that far from my house and I didn't even know it lol. These guys are awesome!

Picked up a few things over the past couple of weeks. @NeXmetal convinced me to go for the limited edition Gameboy Pockets CIB to complete the set so I'm fortunate to have won this CIB gold one. Now onto extreme green and ice blue to round out the set!

I also "traded" the figure variant box of Gauntlet Legends for the stand version CIB. I stumbled across the box for $25 at a yard sale and ended up selling it for the exact price of the standard edition CIB which had been on my buy list.
