Bubbapauls | 250
Finally got a really good deal on an original 3DS in Cosmo Black on FaceBook Marketplace. It was only $35 bucks. The Shoulder buttons don't work and the stylus is missing but I can fix the buttons and find a stylus at that price. Other than that everything works great. I'm only missing six Nintendo Systems now. MiamiSlice | 3,089
More pickups! Walmart had the 2DS XL with MK7 pre-installed on clearance for $99 in store, and amazingly it wasn't sold out by the time I checked because 1) quarantine 2) Walmart is actually enforcing purchase limits on most items, which they don't normally do. Samurai Shodown was $49.99 at Best Buy, and amazingly the PS4 version was $59.99 (when is a PS4 game ever more expensive than a Switch game? this never happens). After I ordered it I went back to get a screenshot of this and it said sold out. Did I buy their last copy? Also figured at $29.99 it was time to finally pick up The Ninja Saviors. It comes with so many bonuses! Manual, art cards, stickers and poster are all packed in there. Blossom Tales and Away were orders from LRG that I waited a long time for. I'm on the fence about keeping Away because apparently it's not very good but sometimes I like games that aren't good so I'm going to wait until I hear from more people about it. The 2DS I picked up here on VGS, that's not really for me, it's for my son when he's a bit older. Picked up a small Wii lot via Reddit, the games are a bit worn but whatever. Bravely Default came in the same deal as the 2DS, this was one of those games that I sold a while back (got it in a trade and didn't think I would want to keep it), and then after hearing so many good things about it I figured I need to re-acquire it! And lastly, I picked up this big boy on release day. I'm guessing some people canceled their pre-orders because otherwise I don't think this would have been available. I wasn't planning to get this but I started playing the sequel and realized this must be a great series and I really wanted the art book that this one includes. Although I really don't have space for it. At all. Might have to flatten the box, put the art book on a bookshelf and slide the game in with my other games. Oh well! Galdius | 1,507
I got another Xbox. This time the Halo 2 Hong Kong version but it didn't came with the game. The console is in amazing shape though. Also this week, I decided to try and get as many 3DS games I could (I may go for the fulllset). This is what I managed to buy in one week. Now I'll have to slow it down for the rest of the month but if I find some rare games for good prices, I will buy them.

avatar! | 1,807
This came out a year ago, but I now started playing it. My impressions... well, decent so far. A Symphony of the Night clone. That's not necessarily a bad thing. I do think the kickstarter rewards are quite impressive. I have the signed edition, which to me is very cool - signed by Michiru Yamane and Koji Igarashi I'm a total sucker for autographs, so that is quite awesome since they are two very talented and important people in the video game world If you've played the game, what are your thoughts? How many people here got the kickstarter edition?

The game is heavily based around combat and acquiring new spells, so the exploration doesn't feel quite as satisfying as other Metroidvanias. There's just something about it that can't quite live up to the SotN legacy.

I don't expect RoTN to be the same masterpiece, but if it's enjoyable then I'll be happy. Also, I expect after this success that they're planning a sequel, or two. It's possible and I would be hopeful that the next iteration will approach the greatness of SoTN... Edited June 11, 2020 by avatar!

I think I backed it at $150, so no autographs for me. I love this game, even got the Platinum trophy on PS4. I wound up getting a Switch copy from Best Buy too to get their steel book case, but haven't opened that version yet (steel book was separate). I heard folks complain that it was too easy to be fun, but I think that's crazy. To me the fun in Iga-vania's is the exploration, the varied and interesting enemies, and the unique rewards/skills/drops for killing those enemies. Thorough players become way overpowered by the game's end, and I wouldn't want it any other way. The game play designed around grinding in this (and all the Iga Castlevanias) is so much more rewarding and fulfilling than grinding in any other games, like say Dragon Quest. I really hope they are working on another game in this series.
ApebitMusic | 129
I really enjoyed Bloodstained. i played it on Switch at launch, and performance was not great, but it didn't greatly hinder my enjoyment. About as good as you could expect for a follow up to SotN, I think!
