      Hey y鈥檃ll!
      Yoey and I are Team Chocoblip and we鈥檙e here to present our first ever NES project! It鈥檚 still untitled for now, we鈥檝e just been calling it Project Chocoblip. We鈥檙e hoping to have a fun little聽 game by the time the NESDev compo deadline comes in a few weeks 馃檪.
      Project Chocoblip is a Metroidvania/Adventure platformer about a girl who gets lost in the woods while trying to help her dad collect wood. With only her pom pom as defense, she must now find her way to the top of a mountain to make a signal fire.
      As of right now, the engine we鈥檝e built for the tech demo features:
      Full 8-way scrolling:
      CHR-RAM parallax:
      Arbitrary slopes:
      Throwable pom pom:
      And here鈥檚 a bit of full gameplay.
      Here鈥檚 some details about the game鈥檚 development
      Written exclusively in Wiz. The level editor features a JS port of most of the game logic for immediate feedback.
      Currently using the full fat Famitracker sound driver for easing the composition process. Might change later depending on ROM requirements.
      Art created in Photoshop + NESST + custom editor.
      Build process completely automated from within the custom editor.
      Uses ANROM with 64 KB of PRG. Scrolling is done entirely within a single nametable.

      Among our future goals for the project are:
      Adding enemies/enemy logic.
      Adding other miscellaneous entities: one way platforms, moving platforms, environmental hazards.
      Finish final music with our guest composers.
      Developing a boss.
      Title screen/menus/cutscenes.
      Polish, polish, polish
      I'll try to keep this thread updated as we progress. We'll also often see we talking about the project in either the VGS or NESDev Discord servers.
      Either way, you can find me here if you're into the Tweets land and you can see posts from Yoey here.

      Hello VGS! I am mainly a GBA collector and recently have been focusing on completing my wishlist for the system. There's pretty much no rhyme or reason to the wishlist other than some rares, expensive games, and personal curiosities. I mainly only go for loose carts but always potentially interested in CIB depending on the game. Always open to trades if you'd prefer that as well. Oddities, variants, store displays, kiosks, GBA-related Nintendo Powers, manuals,聽and various other GBA-related merchandise are also always very interesting to me and would always be considered for purchase. Bolded titles are more of my priorities at the moment and the list is split up so that it can be more easily navigated. Feel free to PM me or comment if there is anything with which you can help. Thanks you, VGS!
      The list:

      All of the main regions had GBA games with revisions, I haven't had the chance to catalogue the PAL [EUR-1, FRA-1, etc.] or NTSC-J [JPN-1] games (and probably will never get around to a full list), but I have what I believe is a (or very close to)聽complete NTSC聽USA-1 revision list. These were most often done when publishers changed but also to fix glitches or other minor changes.
      The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius - Jet Fusion (?)
      Animal Snap (AIA --> Ignition)
      ATV: Quad Power Racing (?)
      Demon Diver (AIA --> Ignition)
      Dexter's Laboratory: Deesaster Strikes (fixed unwinnable glitch)
      Ed, Edd n Eddy: Jawbreakers! (?)
      IK+ (AIA --> Ignition)
      Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      Konami Krazy Racers (?)
      Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits (Midway --> Majesco)
      Monster Bass Fishing (AIA --> Ignition)
      Nickelodeon: 4 Games on One Game Pak (replaced one of the four games, Fairly OddParents: Shadow Showdown with Fairly OddParents: Enter the Cleft)
      Pinball Tycoon (AIA --> Ignition)
      Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (TDK Mediactive --> Global Star Software)聽
      The Powerpuff Girls: Mojo Jojo-a-Go-Go (?)
      The Sims: Bustin' Out (1473117 on label)
      Shaun Palmer's Pro Snowboarder (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      SpongeBob SquarePants: Revenge of the Flying Dutchman (?)
      Spyro: Season of Ice (Children's Software Rerelease)
      Stadium Games (AIA --> Ignition)
      Strike Force Hydra (AIA --> Ignition)
      Super Drop Zone (AIA --> Ignition)
      Tetris Worlds (changed box art, title screen)
      Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 (Activision O鈧 --> Activision)
      World Tennis Stars (AIA --> Ignition)
      Generally, it seems that the revisions had smaller print runs, but that wasn't always the case. It's said that Dexter was a mail-in exclusive, but I'd have to imagine any versions still on store shelves would've been replaced as well. Konami Krazy Racers seems like it had a much lower print run. I'm not to sure what the revisions for Ed, Edd n Eddy, KKR,聽Powerpuff Girls, SpongeBob, or Spyro updated,聽聽so if anybody else knows I'll update the list.
      If there are any more that are missing from this list, feel free to correct me and I'll fix the list as well.

      When he was creating his previous small聽game聽for the NESmaker Byte-Off 2019聽competition, my son had lots of ideas that he would have liked to incorporate into his entry game. However, due to lack of time, he wrote everything down and told me that it would be for the next game... that how was created KUBO 3.
      The game takes up the adventures of the cowboy turtle where the previous episode ended. The聽Evil Mole kidnapped the villagers... and聽Kubo will have to find 4 sacred objects in order to free them.
      It took my son Seiji almost a year to make this game. As usual, we mostly worked on it for a few days during school holidays or on rainy weekends.
      He wanted to finish it before our聽February vacations because he wanted to hand it to Joe Granato, the creator of NESmaker (on a short trip to Florida for a few days).

      (Joe Granato &聽Seiji -聽Feb聽15th 2020)
      We hope you will enjoy this little game as we had fun making it.
      Tools used: NESmaker, Paint.NET, Notepad++, famitracker
      Soundtrack: Raftronaut

      2020-07-01 minor cosmetic adjustments (bushes, cemetery level) for the cart version to come
      2020-04-24 fixed the death issues聽(in the under water level)聽and small modifications to balance the game
      2020-04-12 small modification (the graphics on the Castle door tile was not the correct ones)
      2020-03-27 added english/french languages support, fixed a few issues to make the game more coherent/balanced
      2020-03-04 fixed/moved some tiles in the overworld that could get the player stuck in solid tiles when entering some screens
