This is where I have to figure out where to draw the line if I do decide to include pre-orders. No updates, they are taking reservations but not money yet. I heard from them a few months ago that they were about to slowly begin physical assembly.

Should pre-orders and Kickstarters be their own thread?  Seems like it.

Maybe, we’ll see how it feels once I have it looking like it does in my head. I definitely want to include homebrew no longer available from the original source in a separate category in this thread to make it a reference for newer members of the community. But yeah it might make sense to create a separate thread for what’s on the horizon, breaking out categories for preorder/Kickstarter and also providing links to what is still in development, linking to VGS threads and developer blogs.

How about making a master thread for all homebrews and then have links to thread for each category (Currently Available, Kickstarter, No Longer Available, etc)? Similar to the Nerdy Nights master thread that was on NA and acted more like a table of contents and linked to each weekly tutorial.

Thanks for this very useful list!

I'm pleased to see that both my GB games are already on it :).

I've also recently released my Genesis games "30 Years of Nintendon't" (+2 bonus games on the cart, namely Break an Egg and MeteoRain) in a CIB release for 35$. It's available from the publisher here:

Of course! In fact, I included 30 Years of Nintendon't in my other thread Homebrew on the Horizon so people can see it's available for pre-order. Good luck with sales!

Action 53 vol 2 is still available.  I can't find it in the list.  http://www.infiniteneslives.com/action53vol2.php

Also, Deadeus for GB.  https://izma.itch.io/deadeus

Crypto https://kabraxis.itch.io/crypto

Action 53, Vol. 2 is listed under Double Action 53 Volume 2, but I’m thinking of relisting those all under Action 53, Vol. X (Specific Title) to be easier to find.

The other games do not appear to be cart releases and these lists are physical runs only.

But you know what, I should include a link to that massive rom database for those that want it.

If we are not going to make one that lives on the site, NES World has a pretty good one.

With help, we might expand to other consoles of that time period: Virtual Boy, Neo Geo, Atari Jaguar, PS1, and even the Game Gear. More daunting might be expanding to other generations to include the Atari 2600 and ColecoVision of the 2nd generation, and the Dreamcast of the 6th.

Expanding to Atari would be tons of work -- because of the ease of which bAtari Basic lets people crank out games (and the average smaller scope of an Atari game), you'd have a ton to keep up with.  New homebrews get released like crazy over there.

I paid $44 off Amazon Japan back in January.  $20 is a crazy good deal, it is a limited time offer through Play Asia.

Yes! I noticed several of the homebrews available through Play Asia were significantly reduced for the moment. Anyone on the fence should take advantage!
