Now that the dust has settled and out of vacation mode, here's this weeks gets!

First off a sealed real world golf for xbox!

Seal in not the most perfect shape but I'm happy with the price I paid.

The deals kept coming with 12.99 cib, pretty nice shape, nes a boy and his blob.

More cheapies! Been waiting to get a nice deal on wii tales of symphonia, and it was less than 3$ complete! 

Adding a little to the DS collection, dragons missing cards, finally got a couple ace attorney games, pretty uncommon kamen rider (no complete copies on eBay at the moment, wow) never can resist the game bags

Happy to add the ps2 disgaea games back in the collection, also king of fighters xi

And to end today's post I scooped up a whole blue box set, a few red boxed and a couple dupes extra of these cool as heck burger king pokeballs with the 23k gold plated card inside for $20! 

All sealed, part of me wanted to sell em but I just can't they're so cool.. also wanted to get them back in the day and didn't get a chance. I think they were $5 with the purchase of a meal. 

I opened one of the dupes, gonna make some nice shelf candy.

First week of October! Things are getting cold around here, I can dig it. Here goes this week.

14.99 late model gamecube bundle minus the controller but plus third party memory card, cleaned it up and it works great. Didn't have one without the component port so into the fold it goes.

 

Next up, the first 3 penny arcade collection books. I used to read the webcomic weekly in the early 2000s hadn't thought of it in forever, so it's super cool to have a compilation of them.. gonna pick up the later numbers down the line.

 

Happy to add virtua quest for the cube, sealed wii fit plus, astro boy ds and sealed jpn xbox summer 2002 promo dvd.

Got a decent deal on these gbas, complete gradius galaxies and couple sealed konami arcade advanced for 40 before tax. Opened the copy of konami arcade with the toys r us sticker and it was super satisfying to lift that crisp top flap. Ooof. Oh yeah, little sackbot keychain too.

Pretty easy going week, jumping right into it

Shenmue 3 sale at best buy for 7.99 with the steel book, my first pal game for ds - Mr. Driller somehow showed up at the local gamestore for $3, good deal on electroplankton too; been holding off and was glad to get it.

Sealed GH devil may cry 2, woo

 

Defender of the crown I picked up mainly for the permastruct label, former rental in meh shape and I kinda planned on cleaning it up but the permastruct sticker is super cool and unstuck. 

Found a pair of rocking gaming chairs that are pretty neat, played a couple rounds of Mario kart in em and of course I played better thanks to the chair.

Short and sweet this week, been not finding much game wise at the thrift but finding a ton of nice clothes. I have been playing a lot with folding flannel shirts the way I would for tye dye but bleach instead of dye, then after bleaching folding again and dyeing.

Anywho here goes:

Couple off the Xbox list, never realized the wii controls gamecube ports had reversable cover art but discovered that with mario tennis, and happy to add one of the wii rune factory games to my small wii collection.

Was waiting to get more wii u stuff and got some pretty good deals, free starfox zero haha, was thinking of getting the switch wonderful 101 but can't argue with cheap wii u version, mario maker is in nice shape with outer box and booklet. The more ps2 rpgs the merrier, yay Dawn of Mana.

Those chairs look INSANELY comfortable.  What brand are they?  How is lumbar support?

Thanks dood! They really are pretty comfy for sessions, like a racing bucket seats lumbar is good as it's hard plastic similar to what they make kids outdoor toys or patio furniture out of and the way the seat is shaped feels like it makes you sit straighter. Also not sure if this model is made anymore but look for AK Designs AK100 rocker, they have much fancier chairs now as well: https://www.akracing.com/

Nintendo store order came! Shirt is about what I expected for the price, really like the idea of being a villager.. perfect halloween costume.. not like I'm doing anything for halloween this year but I'm totally gonna milk the idea for a couple years in the future. Pin is cute and the mynintendo reward bandana fits the part.

Another slow week, waiting on a couple xbox lots from eBay but here's the gets:

Figured I might as well pick up the gears series because they so cheap, also two worlds 1+2

Such nice words, thanks guys! This week's gets are mostly xbox. I usually never buy lots on ebay because I hate not feeling 100% on condition but I rolled the dice to fill in some gaps, also lucky to find lots that had mostly stuff I didn't have and a few solo bois. These bring me to 520, not too shabby.

The stack of dupes. Nothing special.

Eventually I will go for the platinum hits but the lots I got happened to be full of games I already had black labels of, so boom good start there. Also paper mario mynintendo reward came in the mail.

Thrifted the little big planets for $2.50 each, intellivision from eBay.

More than happy to add these guides and artbook to my collection for $2 a pop at the thrift.

That's it for this week, so here's some dyes I did last week - these were all done with traditional liquid dyeing instead of my preferred ice dying, using only yellow red and blue(last one I ran out of yellow ope)

Unfortunately I also bleached this vintage tommy hilfiger shirt a little too hard so it's pretty ruined, oh well at least a fun experiment.

Heyo here goes this week

15$ silver late model cube bundled with power brick and third party multi av, a bit dirty - also ps3 composite cables for a buck

No surprise game under the lid, wahhh wahhhh but hey it cleaned up pretty good. Might end up trying to dye the shell since I've seen cool results but its pretty scratched. I paired it with the silver controller I fixed up.

Next up $1 animal crossing city folk guide, cold fear for a decent price off eBay, the paper mario origami set from mynintendo, forza 3 for cheap from the thrift.

Getting colder, so of course I needed another xbox hat

Finally found a reasonable price on the killer vans duck hunt socks, bundled with shirt (too small for me but oh well, had to have those socks)

Mandy picked up AC Valhalla, looks pretty

And finally a jpn gcn addition even though it's not region exclusive; had to have this cool card that came with battle houshin (mystic hero's here in the states) also really like the die cut sleeve text, hadn't seen a cube game do that and I love little design elements like that.

This week's dye report: 

'bout to light these bad bois up - results next week. I soaked em in soda ash water then folded, then waited a couple days all banded up for them to dry rather than work with damp shirts.. saw some cool results so I hope I don't heck it up.

Hi, welcome to this week!

First off! Mandy made a lil crochet'd half blanket for me, perfect for the couch. I sez to her "do a gameboy color theme" I think she succeeded and I love it!!

Next up, xbox

Happy to pick up ininja and turtles 2. The stack are dupes, except no disc for the san andreas (did have the map I needed woo)

I didn't have a solo regular copy of halo 2 or the map pack, and was lucky enough to get a clean launch copy from this lot - not like its $$$ or anything, I got the steelbook on midnight release and it's a nostalgic game for me.

Got these 7 lotr cards off ebay that came with the ps2, pc, xbox, and I think gcn releases of the fellowship game. 

For the Xbox version I think the info about a card being included was on the wrap, but I know it's printed on the ps2 versions art. Love that creepy samwise. They were one per game I believe but someone amassed a little collection and now my copy is more than complete.

Very crisp shape! looking for a box protector for these and the rumble pak size too if anyone out there can help.

That's it for this week, I just realized that I haven't gone to the local gamestore in 2 weeks and thrifting has been 1 so far.. covid cases are going up around here so i am not taking the risk for a while. 

dyes from last week::

This was the lime green shirt I bleached out, really digging it has a mantis kinda thing going on.

Over bleached again! The fabric will rip in areas like a wet paper bag that have been bleached too hard and I have definitely learned a lot from playing around and making mistakes. I hope this one will still be wearable because I still like how it turned out but the amount of work out into it to have it be so fragile is a bummer.

But here's a success story, got this ralph lauren thick cotton shirt for $2, oversized for me, but potential - had a bit of mildew damage and staining. I washed it and somehow had something red with it that caused it to turn pink. Bleached out the mildew and staining still had a coral hue to it so then I used rit white wash (which smells like friggin skunk, and will stink up your entire place for a day if you do it in a pot and not in a washing machine) that brought it back to almost white and actually made the material softer. Now after dye, I love it even though it fits me like a painters smock.

Thanksgiving week! Except covid cases are super hot around here so we are staying put and not doing any family gatherings, which is ultimately strange but if I could only post a picture of que to the hospital covid testing line close to my work and how jam packed i have seen it flowing way down into the street .. oooof

Ok! So on track now, xbox!!

The rocky demo is a lil rarity, other two off the list.. I have enough halo 2 to set up a 4 system link, wooo woo

Flipping over, found an eBay seller with a good price on this and am happy to add it to the Japanese exclusives (also came out on ps2 in japan)

Next up, hyrule warriors finally came in the mail from gamestop with the preorder keychain as well as the mynintendo notepad

Ok not much this week, but I saved the best for last.. excited to add this to my xbox collection

xbox live beta tester memory card, now I need the cap for it!

Had to see what was on there, was hoping to see someone's xbl profile buttttt...

Empty. 

I was a late beta tester so I always wanted to get one of these, since it was empty already I added my xbl account and beta game saves

We got a cricut! Thing is sweet, here's the first things I've made

Made a lot more, gotta clean em up and figure out where to put em eheh but the thing is a blast and I felt like a junkie spending most of Wednesday finding/making svg files to use. Gonna have to get more vinyl too!

That's it, still haven't made it to the game stores locally and it's killin me haha but I will wait.

Nice lil haul this week, I finally caved and went to the local gamestore. Was kinda bummed to see something I got my secret santee there for cheaper than eBay (as well as still in the mail somewhere, so I kinda feel dumb haha hopefully the ebay pull is in better shape) oh well, anyway here goes.

Wolfenstein is the Amazon exclusive version with the skin, happy to add these ds titles in nice shape.

Tickin off a few more xbox:

Battle engine aquila is a harder to find title, sealed hitman blood money, and interesting blood omen 2..

I think someone cobbled together a set with a different Kain game (defiance on the right came out a couple years after blood omen 2) pretty sure this isn't supposed to be this way but if any xbox nerds out there can confirm otherwise that would be neat. 

Never can have enough dvd remotes/sensors but the real star in this picture is the later model ms brand component cables, even though I already have em. These are in better shape and look almost new, one day gonna have to set up 4 TVs and 4 consoles for system linkage. More than happy to grab these 360 titles at .79c each

It is officially the week before Christmas

We finally have snow on the ground here.

This week starts with more of those cheap 360, under a buck gets.

Speaking of cheap, did you know gamestop has splatoon 1 and pokken for wii u for $5 a pop? I saw them on the shelf and couldn't believe it. For some reason they charged me 3.50 each, and chaotic for under a buck. Not sure if the new clerk put me in as a pro member or whatever or they having a sale but after holding off on getting em can't beat that price..

Pokken even came with the amiibo card worth like 10-15$ on its own. 

The real reason I went to gamestop:

Mandy really wanted this but I didn't think I was gonna find it so late from release, but apparently meant to be. Found multiple ways to buy it including a certain generous member here having a few available. She hugged it.

Almost left PC windwaker behind but for $10 I don't see the price going down anytime soon might as well add the variant. Wild arms 3 was also a nice deal at $7

I had a really killer thrift haul week. Not only finding game stuff but good Xbox stuff!

For $3 to $6 each and in great shape, wow! Upgraded the condition on silent hill 4 from my former rental copy and happy to find the platinum version of SH 2 at this price. Evil dead fist full of boomstick and darkwatch I had been waiting to snag for a while.

But then

Not 1 but 2!! Limited collectors edition cover for counterstrike!! I have wanted to add this for years, just never jumped the gun. I'm guessing the person who donated this stuff worked at a game store because this isn't easy to find, they removed the original covers for the counterstrike games though, this cover came separate. In a mylar type envelope, I think as a preorder, pretty sure it was a gamestop thing but wasn't originally included in a case. Super stoked to have em!

The best find from that haul was this boiiiii though:

Sealed! 6$! Holy crap! I didn't have a copy of echoes, but now I can't open my copy. Guess its ok to use emulation now though. Straight on the shelf next to prime.

Yesterday I then manged to find a nice light blue dsi lot at a different thrift, no charger but 11 games for $20.

Really happy to get animal crossing! I only have the jpn version of wild world, so it's cool to finally have a us copy. I cleaned it up and it took a charge, works great but the microphone doesn't seem to work. Have to play around, plan on hacking the heck out of it. 

Since it had scratches I wanted to slap a decal on there so I brainstormed for a day until I saw my switch case and it was onnnnn. Edited a picture of it and turned it into a decal all on my phone, I think it turned out sweet.
