First off, I was missing the cardboard insert for this 64 controller but found one on eBay so boom. A couple cube games, GBA link cable, sfc bomberman 3 and Rockman exe 5 for GBA. Only one more of the power pros games for the cube and I have the set (I need 12, which is in the mail somewhere) I had to get the Rockman game just because it's the only teal cartridge I know of for the gba and it's beautiful. This box arrived from japan, but there was tape over the printed text, immediately I could tell it was a shipping box for something game related (before obviously removing the packing slip). So I carefully peeled the tape off and volia! Amiibo shipping box! I used Google translate and discovered it was : Marina and pearl! I will be using this to store my sealed amiibo for sure! Inside that box contained... A beautiful shipping case for a jpn n64 launch title. Saiko Habu Shogi, and 10 of em all minty fresh. This is pretty much the first factory (and second) case I've owned minus the shipper for ni no Kuni 2 special edition. I think it's a super neat addition to my 64 collection. Also got some cart protectors off eBay from kollectorprotector so nice 0.5mm thicc for my small nes loose collection. Also in mail: snes cart protectors Snug for boxed JPN GBA, little too long for SFC but they work nicely. Still haven't played but hey. Lets go with this week's gets: Last order from China finally arrived, placed in Feb. xeno gc and a white GBA button set. The xeno is so small! No wonder people like using wires instead of surface soldering the points. Hanging on to this guy for a while till I get my soldering setup back around, and probably will find another cube that has serial port 2 for the sd2sp2 that I can paint and do up all fancy for the ultimate cube setup. A few more best buy curbside gets for the p4: Dark rose valkyrie looked like it could be a decent standard jrpg, and my gf is super into these code games haha. Since I haven't been buying much game wise due to high Japanese shipping costs, and a bunch of stuff still unknown in transit I decided to invest in what I have just a litttttle more. I know I've posted box/game protectors the last few times but I finally bit the bullet and placed an order with retroprotection because they had japanese gamecube boxes. Went all in on the whole cube set, and picked up some other odds and ends. Was meaning to get the big box n64 stuffs and some loose cart for some projects, other collectors editions I love.. will definitely get more in the future. Once you start buying these things you end up wanting to do your whole collection, they just look great and reduce wear and tear, dust, handling by a lot. Here they are boxed up: In comparison to other boxes I can't tell if these are 0.4mm or 0.3 but they're pretty nice. Wanna say 0.4 They have a nice flex to them, but thicker than the snes ones i got. Not as sturdy as kollectorprotector thick boiz but with these I want to easily open them and the thick ones are a little tough to do so often. However retroprotection shipped very fast, got here in like 3 days and refunded me like 5$ on shipping which was really cool. But anywho, keep on keeping on yall. I am a big fan of Vans over the years, and thought it was cool to tie my collections together. I will admit when the collab came out I didn't jump on them and started about a year after so I missed some of the cool things that are reselling now for a fair bit (I don't want the pics to decive, only 2 pairs with the boxes.) Sk8-hi Slim's (w/box) - pixel stripe Sk8-hi - nes controllers Donkey Kong hoodie (I wear it all the time, super comfy) the socks I can't justify wearing when they resell for like 40$ plus they're sooo cool, there are also duck hunt socks that are super awesome that I wish I would have snagged. Speaking of- Authentics - Duck Hunt (w/box) Slip on - Zelda (these are my favorite with the duck hunt ones right behind) Authentics - Donkey Kong Slip on - character print (these came in the mail this week and partially inspired this week's theme haha along with...) Retail display signage! Double sided corrugated, was really happy to get these in the mail today. Small but growing, I really want the old skool pixel stripes with the dark gray sole and light gray body, the tie dye Mario Authentics, and the black and white Authentics character print with boos. Looking fer Size 10. Also since I'm battery obsessed, we got a set of eneloops and I wrapped a couple pairs for Gameboy usage.. now I have a million ways to power them. I forgot about this Gamecube button set I ordered a while back and was happy to see them in the mail so I popped them in the same day haha. Kept the z button stock because I didn't like the results on the green set I installed previously. Since that's all I got this week, I think I will dip into a few cool things in my Xbox collection. Vans Era - Mario and friends Snagged em with the box woo - unpictured toad is on the tongue, same as heel Another pair down. Xenoblade was rereleased and we preordered it up months back. Very clean packaging! Inner cardboard all monado'd up, sleeve for art book with nice monado print too. Collectors edition back is different than regular whooOOOoo I happened to be cleaning my closet and found some lost hats, the rockstar 5 panel is from e3 2005 and the Xbox 360 was an xbox gear store purchase if I recall. They're both at home with the others now and not hidden away. Hope the best for everyone in these horrible times, till next week. I finally decided to make my way out today and see what's good. First, hit the 2 closest thrift stores. Both were a complete bust and looked like they either got picked clean last week or just not many donations since reopening. Also stopped by the used game store and had some luck. Picked up some xbox stuff. I had been waiting on a clean complete copy of Shaolin monks and finally found it, game rulessss. These brought my count up to 442? I think. Still chugging away and probably will visit again next week because I definitely saw a few, just wanted a quick trip. I won't lie, I was extremely happy to get out and cautiously resume a little normalcy. Especially my terrible routine of cleaning used games, that was the most satisfying. Happy to note, battle stadium d.o.n showed up! One of the Japan post hold-ups I ordered in March/April so I am starting to hope that all is not lost. Waiting on maybe 5-6 other things that I really hope show up Also found some bethesda guides at the thrift, needed the map for skyrim so now I have two copies of it, ope. Picked up a nice little soccer lot for $3.45 shipped Wasn't really interested in the 360 games, but needed the winning elevens for og, and with manuals. Found a 10$ Xbox hardware lot at goodwill, was pretty sure it was going to be dead but took a look on the bottom of the console.. Someone had been inside, so I took the gamble. After hookin it up, hit the eject button and boom, copy of Simpsons hit and run in the tray. Woo woo. Booted directly to xbmc dash. Tested out a couple discs and they all worked, really killer deal on a working modded console.. going to have to investigate the internals and see if it's a hard wired mod or not. Honestly never modded an Xbox, more to learn. Few more odds and ends on the cheap, yay Disney extreme skate adventure.
