  1. It was 6-7 years ago but it was the box cut up, so front and back but the sides were missing
  2. For what it’s worth I once paid $6 for a panic restaurant like this
  3. I like Skyward Sword a lot and I will give it to you that the end kind of drags some. Most of it’s fun but there’s a couple things I’ve grown to loathe.
  4. I learned where a lot of Simpson episode title references cone from with this
  5. Kirby’s Dreamland 3 is done. I didn’t go for the good ending but if I were to play again I absolutely would. This game felt very run of the mill for Kirby. Good controls, great graphics/aesthetic and a non interesting story. All in all, glad to have played it and I did enjoy it. Especially the references to other Nintendo properties sprinkled in. One thing to note is, this has to be one of the best looking SNES titles I’ve seen.
  6. I’m now officially half way through Dreamland 3 and it’s starting to grow on me. Building the ROB on level 3 was super cool and these levels are becoming more involved and interesting so maybe my grim outlook was premature.
  7. I did look into it but I’ve got to say the game isn’t grabbing me enough to want to, if that makes sense? I’ll finish the game as I’m half way through but it’s lack luster.
  8. That’s reassuring to hear, I’m a huge fan of Kirby’s Adventure but man these other titles of the era fall flat
  9. I finished Mario Advance 2. I ended up doing 92/96 exits. Super Mario World is always a good time but it’s lower on the Mario rankings for me personally. It was fun to experience in a new way despite not being terribly different from the original version. I started up Kirby’s Dreamland 3 and it’s been okay. The graphics and music are super good but the game just feels a little dry? Maybe I don’t like Kirby games that much Ill power through and wrap this up in the next week I’d imagine.
  10. The last level definitely has some really frustrating parts and that levels music specifically kills me. The fourth world too, I’ve always struggled
  11. I’m sitting at 87?/96 exits, so I’ll play through this weekend and if I find the rest awesome, if not I’ll call in good and shelf it. Torn between Super Mario RPG and KH 1.5 next
  12. Super fun, I always liked the multiplayer more. Music was super catchy and the levels are arguably better than MK but MK always takes the W for me in terms of kart racers.
  13. Looking for clean cart only copy. Let me know!
  14. Mario Advance 2 is almost done and this may be the first time I’ve ever done all 96 exits by myself! I like SMW but it’s low on the Mario rankings for me
  15. I didn’t realize that! I’m going to revisit it now!
  16. Super Mario Bros Advance 4 is completed. Prior to playing this, I was under the assumption that the game had extra little things to collect and make the game a little more “fulll.” Regardless, I still really enjoyed the game. Super Mario Bros 3 is a top 5 game for me and enjoying it in a (slightly) different light was still super enjoyable. I did find it interesting in a few places how they added extra blocks or something similar to it a little easier. The only thing I didn’t care much for was that the Toad/Peach sprites didn’t look great. One side note, it took me a bit to figure out how to consistently get the stars at the end of the stage which I typically can do but I was able to figure that out eventually. O also finally can consistently bear the air ship level in world 8! All in all; not what I expected but still a great time.
  17. Pikmin 2 is done. I’ve found with the Pikmin games I really like to get the best ending because the game really engrossed me but this one fell a little short. Cons: I hated the random falling enemies/rocks in caves, map felt kind of intuitive, Olimar’s boss sucks, the cave floors felt wildly uneven in terms of challenge, the lack of the 30 day time limit greatly cut back challenge Pros: the branding on the treasures was a fun touch, the caves are a cool concept and executed well for the most part, new Pikmin are always fun, enemies (Prog’s in particular) didn’t seem quite so difficult, Pikmin had more of a sense of their own. Overall the game definitely grew on me more and I’m sure I’ll go back eventually and “complete” it but it pales in comparison to 1 and 3 in my eyes. I’ve not played 4 yet. Overall fun but I’d sooner revisit one of the others. Super Mario RPG is next I believe!
  18. Pikmin 2 is a little bit of a let down… I’m enjoying it but 1/3 were way better. I can’t quite put it into words yet but I’ll do a little review when I’m done.
  19. Your thoughts on Lolo perfectly summarize it for me. There was a couple levels that drove me insane when I played and when I looked up solutions, I would have never figured out. I love the first two but three is just too tough in some spots.
  20. Burning and turning this year. 2 games before the end of the month! Pikmin 3 is done! I really love this series and can’t wait to play more. I have to say the challenge was substantially less in this one which I wasn’t sure if it was the immense learning curve I encountered from playing and learning the first game or if it’s just easier overall. I didn’t get the “best” ending but I enjoyed it enough to where I’ll return to it and clean it up. Overall, very happy and I will return to it. To keep the Pikmin streak alive… Pikmin 2 is next!
  21. I’m going to play through Rainbow Islands for my own amusement so if no one beats in the next couple days, I’ll share my victory
