  1. Did I ever tell you about the 80 pin cartridges I was working on?
  2. Or he could do a Famicom run of a star keeper carts, keep more of the profits, and avoid pissing off previous star keeper owners
  3. I'd be interested in purchasing this too, sounds interesting. Maybe developing as well when I get my programming up to scratch
  4. Do they have the rights, hopefully?
  5. I'm the same way. In my younger days I ran distance in highschool as my best friend was doing it, and I just wanted to socialize and meet girls. College came and I kept running casually, but it wasn't as fun as I was mainly doing it for social reasons. When I moved to Taiwan I made a few friends who used to run, and I then did a few half marathons, but after the last one I just felt so sore and my knees felt like crap, and since I didn't enjoy the training either, I decided to close the running chapter of my life, before it got even more unenjoyable. A few years later I discovered cycling, which I truly do enjoy. I've just been spotty with cycling for the last year as I lost my cycling partner (got married, had a kid, went home). When you start doing 80k+ rides up in the mountains at 10pm, I don't fancy going alone, lol.
  6. I was planning on cycling tonight, then the temp dropped to about 56 when I got off work so I'm eating soup. I'd rather stay in and drink wine and watch Netflix, but I might brave the cold and cycle since I can't go tomorrow or any day afterwards until next Monday.
  7. Well it's that time of the year again! Went for my first ride of the new year, since I hadn't been out for awhile (eight or ten months?) decided just to do something basic around the city rather than go nuts and end up winded and "stuck". Did a simple 33.5k ride, just slightly under 21 miles. I'll try to head out again tomorrow.
  8. Quick question, when you say "ramen" do you mean proper Japanese ramen or do you mean instant noodles? This shouldn't even be a question, but figured it would be best to ask.
  9. Heading out to party now, it's 20:00 here, so in a few hours we'll be with you. Sending love from Taiwan
  10. I was logged in, using the same device as always, yet was marked as Spam. I'm not amused.
  11. Legendary Wings ain't happening, unless we're counting bootlegs. NES exclusive bro
  12. I'm a full set mentality guy...if you don't go for a full set, what's the point of collecting for a console? Otherwise, it's just simply a gamers set which should consist of your childhood favs and other games you want to play from after that point.
  13. Actually this is the last find of the year
  14. Received these today, the last find of 2023?
  15. No, it should be marketed as a retro controller rug. This is just a case of lazy marketing and not knowing the clients who would want this sort of thing.
  16. edited, old sale thread recycled
  17. Some Background Information: A few months back I had done a hobbyist maze game (a Pac-Man clone) with my kindergarten class as a fun activity one Saturday, and then after the kids had designed out their stages, I took those designs and spent the next several weeks getting it up and running into an actual NES / Famicom game. The thread about it can be seen here: I've decided that once I leave my current job I will release the ROM of this game for free for anyone who wants to download it and play it. Obviously I don't want to do so until I am out, though, which will be at the end of this year at the latest. If anyone was just dying to have one of those cartridges in their collection, at that time I can also make actual cartridges, for a budget price, but honestly I don't think it's something most would be interested in owning. The History Behind Desolate Love: Essentially, I decided to take the maze game we had done, expand it, and turn it into the game that is for sale here, Desolate Love. The game references some characters from a novella I wrote a year or two back, titled Tormented Love, though having read that story isn't necessary at all to play this game. This game is also set in the same universe as a few other upcoming ITG-Soft games, i.e. there will be some overlap between characters and what not, though at the same time everything will be contained to be a stand alone title as well. The Gameplay: In terms of gameplay, this is a maze game. It is set to a world of spirits and spooks, à la the Hungry Ghost Night series. The protagonist slides around grabbing incense sticks, hell money, and red envelopes for points, while attempting to avoid the mal-intentioned spirits. Think Pac-Man, only with hopping vampires and Chinese elements. There are fifty stages in the game, plus a second quest. Two-Player Mode: Although I think Desolate Love is fun in its own right, there is only so much one can do with a maze game, and Pac-Man will always be the best since it did these things first; however, I do think the two-player mode is where Desolate Love shines. It's a simultaneous mode, pitting both players against each other, which adds a lot of multiplayer fun to the game. In the two-player mode, each player has a different objective, too, adding a unique spin to the game. Notes and Warnings: This game was originally designed as an 18+ game for several reasons. After every so many stages, there are cutscenes with naked women (spirits). The theme of ghost marriages and seductive female spirits from beyond the grave is quite common in many Chinese horror films, as well as Asian horror, and as a game trying to fit somewhat in that genre, this game is no different. Similarly, there are some (minor) references to sexual assault and suicide, but it more relates to the backstory from the novella mentioned earlier. That being said, I decided to also make a censored version of the game for those who want to experience the game but don't feel comfortable with the 18+ stuff. Just let me know when ordering if you want the censored version, rather than the standard 18+ version, and I'll be sure to send you that version. Ordering: To order the game, either DM me or place an order from the maliscash link below. The cost is $49.95, and it contains a box, cartridge, and manual. Thanks for checking it out! 18. Nice, this was one of the first games I played for GB, so many great memories.
  19. Tell me about it. I had to work, too.
  20. I'm not sure who my secret Santa is, possibly @Vectrex28 as it's someone living in Japan. Anyways, what an amazing gift! There's a Famicom homebrew here that I'm looking forward to trying (I might do so tomorrow when my Japanese friend is visiting), and also two coffee blends from a local coffee shop! This is truly amazing, and I could not ask for more. Thanks so much Secret Santa! Also, I think Space Pup was the host this year.
  21. Its getting towards the time where I might open my box. Might do it after the Christmas party tonight, or I might do it tomorrow at lunch or... We'll see.
  22. Yeah it is, but so is purposely trying to pull one over on someone as a middle finger.
