  1. From what I can gather. They are not giving out access to this api. Currently limited to “approved developers” and has been that way since at least July. It is awful how little respect eBay has for people who use their api.
  2. I am not extremely worried about myself, but I am willing to do my part to ensure that I am apart of the solution and not the problem. This is a time that we need to think of others and how this may negatively effect them and not ourselves.
  3. You are correct, you would still want to simply pull all video game data for the category. They just do not want you to evaluate the category as a whole (ie... 6,146 games were sold in 48 hours for an average cost of $24.35. At the time, I was playing around with the idea of tracking other categories... which is what put me over the limit. Oh man. I do miss it. But I can honestly say life is a bit too busy these days to take on that type of task . Who knows what the future will hold though.
  4. The way it was explained to me is that ebay would only have an issue with using the stored data for market research on the entire video game category. They never seemed to have an issue with storing the data for market research on an individual item. There was indeed a trick to getting the BestOffer prices. I'm not sure if it is still applicable as I know that ebay has made some changes in recent months. As far as I know, JJ never figured it out :-P. Multiple quantity listings are a bitch and ebay's API does not provide much in terms of tracking them. I tried many different solutions and in the end it turned out to be more trouble than it was worth.
  5. But why though? Has any "First Edition" anything sold for this much money when an item is so readily available in other conditions? I am honestly curious. Now I know that finding this sealed is hard to come by, but in other collectible markets, these items that are selling for this kind of money are hard to come by in any condition if I am not mistaken. It is crazy to me how hard some of these games are being pushed as being the "Most desired" items in our hobby. At this point I am having a hard time determining what is fact and fiction with how the sealed market is being manipulated.
  6. Well they have a canonical setup for https://connect.gocollect.com/home/file-not-found on all of their search results. All of the SEO will be gone shortly once Google does its thing.
  7. Wow! I can't believe they didn't find a way to still use the NintendoAge domain. From what I can see, they just lost all the SEO that made NintendoAge valuable from a business perspective.
  8. I disagree, I think the more ambiguous you make things the worse it is for new users. I would never think to ask about pricing in a For Sale thread. What if someone is buying said game? As Jone stated, it was a fairly high traffic section and using the knowledge gained from NintendoAge is probably a good place to start.

I think we need a third option for "Soap?"
  10. Only reason I've been going back is for the drama.
