  1. Something similar happened to a goalie in the NHL quite a few years ago. The trainer ran out to him and mentioned his experience doing similar things in Vietnam as to the reason he was able to save him. Not sure many trainers have similar real world experience.
  2. A cut that deep that severs the carotid and jugular means you have very little time to stop it before death. Unfortunately there may have been enough damage between the initial cut and the time he got to the bench that it didn’t matter what happened.
  3. To further add, he almost had a collision with another skater and started to fall, and then saw Adam and kicked his legs out and up to interfere with him while he skated by.
  4. In my opinion he clearly reached out with his legs to hit him, and extended them into his neck. I don’t think for a second that he meant to hurt him like this, but the guy is a goon that led the league in penalty minutes. Nothing even close to something resembling a hockey move.
  5. As a fellow Minnesotan that saw Adam play in high school and college its terribly sad. The guy that caused it should have charges pressed against him. As someone that has skated my whole life, it was an intentional kick, one of the most reckless things I’ve ever seen in sports.
  6. Actually you’re absolutely right, yep the Jucy Lucy is ours and Matt’s Bar and the 5/8 Club claim they invented it. (Matt’s is better).
  7. I’d say the closest thing we have in Minnesota would be hotdish (tatertot hotdish is a good example) or walleye for food. For beer, we have the second oldest brewery in the US, Schell’s still pumping out quality lagers, and our craft brewery scene is probably top 3 in the US. I would only trade for the scenes in San Diego and Portland, Maine if given the choice.
  8. Someone posted this in a Facebook group. From Frasier, cool and random to see Earthbound!
  9. Fun little read, it was part of our 7th grade curriculum back in 1992.
  10. I really need to get to Prague. Been to 20 countries in Europe, but somehow never been there.
  11. Snagged one, about to game for the first time in a couple years.
  12. I don’t really game anymore and don’t keep up on releases, but just watched a trailer for it and it looks awesome. Might have to go pick up a copy of it.
  13. I’d give top 10 to N64, but admittedly haven’t played many on either system. N64: Mario Kart 64, Goldeneye, all the Mario Party’s, THPS 1&2 (played them on N64), Mario 64, Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, Perfect Dark. PS1: Metal Gear Solid, Lunar Silver Star, Twisted Metal 1&2, NFL Blitz, Medal of Honor & Underground, Unholy Wars, Worms Armageddon.
  14. It’s all good, post away. Better to proceed with caution until you know it’s legit. This guy sells tons of games online, including really nice/rare/expensive/sought after ones.
  15. The guy is well known on Facebook collector groups and legit.
  16. I have a really hard time watching horror flicks, as people continuing to make bad decisions gives me anxiety while I watch. The only other thing on earth that gives me anxiety is being late.
  17. Also, as a young lad I really appreciated the gift that he gave watchers in The Gift.
  18. Seen the following, close for me but picked Evil Dead over 2. Also really like Army of Darkness, The Quick and the Dead and have a soft spot for For the Love of the Game. Not a comic book movie guy.
  19. Just rewatched Blood Simple tonight, damn that’s a good movie.
