  1. Super NT is a Beaut, Picked up a Classic this round. Just a heads up to anyone purchasing in Canada Price disclaimer ahead: $49.99 USD shipping, an additional $42.25 CAD duty cost on Shipping (To Ontario). $189.99 USD for the unit + $49.99 USD Shipping + applicable taxes + $42.25 CAD Duties = $352.53 CAD after conversion. + any controllers and other accessories you may need (SD CARD, 8BitDo Controller, Snes Carts, FX PAK Pro) You could be looking upwards of $650 or more CAD depending how deep you want to dive, but keep in mind other alternatives like HD Retrovision cables ($89.99 CAD) with a Gcomp or even just a component switch from amazon may be cheaper if you are planning on buying ALL of the analogue consoles from the USA. Price these things out forsure before you buy. To be clear; I didn't mind paying this. I really wanted one and the price didn't bother me. However I can totally see this being a blindside hit to someone with a trigger finger for impulsivity. So be that as it may, it is definitley an amazing console, and looks fantastic and is worth the price, but Canadian purchasers you will be paying a pretty penny for it. Figured I would break it down to an approximate for potential buyers, as I couldn't find any approximates on duties before I purchased one (again I'm not complaining about the price ). Happy Gaming!
  2. I hate my own bad collecting habits, in that I mean my indecisive decision making sometimes...or as Teens call it "FOMO". I often find myself wondering if I should buy a game or not for my collection. Usually one I've been looking at for a while/something obscure that comes up. I often see it is just a little over the price a "website"... tells me it should be worth which prompts me to likely pass on the opportunity... I then find myself 2 days later purchasing a brand new game (or multiple) for $79.99 CAD and never playing it; or buying a remake of a game I enjoy (most recently Pikmin 3) because it is on a new console even though I already own it elsewhere (in this case Wii U). I then find the game I wanted originally going up in price even further and then I wish I just made the decision to buy it in the first place. I'll often find myself making purchases of new games quicker than my purchase of retro or even just collectible last gen games because they are online and accessible now. Nintendo's marketing has a grasp on my soul. I am completely self aware. Feeling the Fear of Missing out (FOMO) is my least favorite part of this hobby. so much worse than cleaning old dirty stickers off my games or anything else.
  3. Hey Everyone, I was recently combing through a thread where someone showed off a copy of a Monkey Island Remastered collection (physical copy) for the 360/PS3 as a UK import. I had no idea a physical version of the remasters even existed... this kind of sparked my interest in what other games I may have missed on the PS3 that came out in a physical form or just didn't come out in NA. I've done some basic googling and Youtubeing and only really came across games I already knew existed... or am not interested in (Mostly Japanese games i can't play or read). I don't speak or read Japanese, and importing games I cannot understand doesn't appeal to me. I'm looking for games we didn't get here on the platform that came out over seas that are: 1) Playable in English, or require little to no Japanese to enjoy. 2) Decent Games; Games worth playing or having from a collector standpoint. 3) Physical games made from Digital only games we received but weren't released in physical form here. 4) Upgraded versions of games we did get with added content and are still in English let me know what you guys got... I am seriously having difficulty finding any, maybe this one game was just a blind spot for me.
  4. ugh.... I had no idea this was released as a physical copy. I always regret buying limited run games every time; this will be no exception. I'm going to sell my copy I bought and get this version... Thanks for the heads up.
  5. I sold CIB Sunset Riders,Zombies Ate my Neighbors , Harvest Moon and other common but CIB SNES Games to buy my N64 as a kid.
  6. The Basement, Niagara Falls Ontario is closed as well.
  7. Turbo Grafx 16 seems to be out of the realm of the regular consumer at this point (at least for me). If I were to collect it, there would be no possibility of me being able to afford a complete set unless I went HuCard only. To me that's not worth it. I would love to have the outer cardboard boxes and jewel cases with manuals...but I do have a few turbo Grafx Games I picked up when they were dirt cheap, some I would recommend: Bonks Adventure & Revenge Bloody Wolf Neutopia I & II Splatterhouse Dragons Curse Keith Courage Ninja Spirit Legendary Axe I & II These should satiate your crave to play turbo games and if you only collect the popular titles, you may be happy they are all in the realm of possibility to at least get the jewel case and manuals ($50 - $150) and are really fun games to play. (keep in mind I live in Canada and everything is 30% more expensive with conversion and shipping.)
  8. Yeah , although it's a sad reality , I figured as much, a friend of mine stumbled on one second hand in a estate sale and i almost died when he told me, of course he kept it for his own collection but man... ever since I played it, I have wanted it. Yeah , I would love to hear some reco's on games if I ever get my hands on one for a reasonable price I might think about collecting it. Thanks for the info.
  9. Hey Guys, So.... for as long as I've known that Link, Zelda and Mario Games exist for this thing... I have wanted it. My dream is to find it in a stack of DVD players at a 2nd Hand store (Salvation Army, Goodwill, Value Village, Pawn Shop etc) which I doubt will ever happen... and I rarely see these things come up on Ebay for less than $400. Any tips for collecting this? or is this a pipe dream. I honestly just want a working System with the Nintendo brand games, regardless of how bad they are, I'm sure I would still enjoy owning them. So what's the catch to Collecting this thing? worth it? Is there a specific model i should look out for?
  10. Hey guys, I was kind of a Ghost on NA, but I love the new site, I'd love to get in on the discussions this time around. Thanks for having me!
