  1. I remember seeing this when it was being developed for C64, and thought it would be right at home one the NES! Very happy to see you are pursuing actually it! Excited to see it as it develops
  2. Here is a video of the game in action too:
  3. I've been watching the progress of this game on Twitter for a little while now, and he just released the free download today. It's a top down racing game, but all of the levels are procedurally generated. It looks like a lot of fun, and definitely worth a download. Here is the download page as well as a description of the game (in Japanese): https://goodtune.booth.pm/items/1715948 It's made by a nice guy by the name of Good Tune (ぐっちゅん). Here is his Twitter: https://twitter.com/good_tune Not sure if he is planning on making cartridges available to purchase, but he definitely designed a box, manual and flashed his own cart.

    Halcyon

Good to know! Lord knows I would have been saying it completely wrong Its a very fitting name for the game!
  5. If I recall correctly, I'm pretty sure Joe has stated that Mystic Searches isn't going to release until he is satisfied with the development of the NES Maker. From what I can tell, he is just working on NES Maker right now, and is fully focused on that. Whenever he considers the program to be done, or adequate, then he will release the game as a showpiece for what the development software is capable of. I remember being a little bummed that I didn't get on-board the kickstarter, but seeing how long it's been taking, I'm pretty glad this is one I missed.

    Halcyon

Been watching the development of Halcyon for a while now on Twitter, and I'm definitely excited to say the least! Between the art and gameplay, it's shaping up to be an amazing game I have one question though; How do you pronounce the name? Is it hal-see-on? hal-kai-on? hal-shun? I'm super curious.
  7. Hey Tim! I just watched your Crystalis video, it was really well done! I'm looking forward to your next video to come out, especially if it's anything like the first one
  8. Hello again everyone! My name is Jesse, and I spent a lot of time reading and occasionally posting on Nintendo Age's Brewery section. I sometimes peeked into the other topics, but rarely posted. I've always had a huge appreciate for Nintendo's 8-bit games, and collected both NES and Famicom games, but these days I'm just completely enamored by new games on old platforms. Living in Korea, there really isn't a lot of retro-gaming (a couple little spots here and there), so being a part of a great community online like this is just what I'm in for! I'm looking forward to seeing how VGS grows and evolves over time, and am glad to be a part it! Here are a couple quick shots I took of my collection. I have a lot more back in Canada, but it's always fun to share nonetheless!
