  1. Pretty meh. Space is cool, and I got a bit of a thing for Sandra Bullock, but that's all it's got going for it.
  2. Don't think I didn't notice the glaring omission of The Monkees from this list. But I'll admit, The Beatles probably sound more like The Monkees than vice versa. Hence, I went with The Knickerbockers as a prime example of the bug music era.
  3. Oh man, I want a Jell-O Pudding Pop so bad rn.
  4. We had a typewriter before we had a computer. And there's a typewriter within 10 yards of my desk at work, although I haven't personally used one in about 6 years.
  5. Also opted for BMG over Columbia House. The deal wasn't quite as good up front, 5 for 1 instead of 10 for a penny, but the you inly had to purchase a few "regular price" CDs to earn the deal. And they regularly had killer deals after you satisfied the original terms.
  6. I still do 4 of those things with some regularity. And I was just looking into getting a boombox for the garage until I came across a free JVC receiver and CD player that I just hooked up yesterday. Sweet deal!
  7. 1121. You got lucky, Reed. I just put that Ghost CD in my car today.
  8. I'm about a 7/6. Generally dig Duran Duran. I have both of these albums.
  9. Sad to see the Action 53 moniker being phased out but certainly glad the comp carts will continue. Excellent write up. I still need to dive into the last year's competition entries.
  10. 8 on both. Overall, I probably prefer Gaga over Madonna. Madonna lost a lot of appeal as she moved into and throughout the 90s, 2k and today.
  11. Great! Played it during a recent Atari binge a few months ago. I'll never "beat" Pitfall though.
  12. Love all the tribute paid in this song. I'm in Heaven With the maven of funk mutation Clinton's musicians such as Bootsy Collins Raise expectations to a new intention Bootsy played with JB before hooking up with P-Funk too.
  13. These are from a magical time known as The Eighties. I guess you had to be there
  14. 10 for both. That Talking Heads live version of Genius of Love is pretty weak though. 4 at best.
  15. On a related note, Criterion half off flash sale rn for the next 10 hours or so. https://www.criterion.com/sale
  16. Totally agree. I'm not above it by any means. If someone said, "Want to come over and play some Nintendo?" I'd fully expect that we're sitting down with the Nintendo Entertainment System. It's the unspoken law of the playground. I don't make the rules, I just abide.
