  1. I have been seeing delays in package arrivals this month as well. Especially from the west coast to east coast. Has the tracking numbers on those 3 packages been updated within 7 days?
  2. Based on the people I have been talking to and just looking at my personal numbers there really isn't anybody looking to complete a full set anymore. With every year that goes by less people are into physical copies. The newer stuff and retro stuff have both taken a hit. The people who want stuff just want a few games and with everything digital it's much easier for people just to purchase that stuff direct. Back in the NA days I would get tons of response from people who want to start a collection. Now just individual games here and there. When you ask "am I the only guy here who just wants to have a giagantic library of physical games to pull off the shelf and play?" That really varies from person to person but I can imagine that a lot of stuff in collections just sit until a person decides they want to cash out and get rid of stuff. I've seen a lot of that going on. More people looking to sell collections than buy them.
  3. I walked into my local Best Buy in Los Angeles and there was barely any stock on hand. I never seen the video game section not have anything at all. So the decision of removing DVDs, movies doesn't surprise me at all. Next up more store closures. I wouldn't be surprised if other big box stores start reducing inventory as well.
  4. This is a great point which is why I would never sell consoles without an original adapter.
  5. Ebay just doesn't really enforce its own policy. I have reported multiple listings as well in the past and nothing was done about it. The listing really has to say clearly a reproduction, custom made or reprint and they might take action but most of the time they don't. Unless some sort of government action happens and steps in then there really isn't much that can be done other than what others have stated Buyer Beware.
  6. Here is the way I look at it. When I am paying a price for an item or a bulk lot I am not purchasing an item/bulk lot that has an odor to it. Yes the main goal is for Ebay to make money however not disclosing this can lead into two things. First a person who purchases a smelly item could just no longer buy on Ebay if sellers are misrepresenting the items. On the other hand if a buyer purchases the item and requests a return the seller can get frustrated to the point to not list items on Ebay. Just imagine a seller being required to issue a full refund on say a $50-$75 shipping cost cause the bulk lot smells. That's a lot of money to be throwing away cause of an issue like this. When you say you had to spend extra to deodorizing a manual. As a buyer you shouldn't have to do that. It's a flaw which should've been disclosed. Now to be fair I have questioned sellers about if the item/bulk lot comes from a smoke free environment. Majority or them either don't answer the question at all or the item/bulk lot sells before the seller can get back.
  7. Yes multiple item specifics are required to be posted in the ad. One being condition. Condition should include smoke smell and water damage.
  8. Ebay really should start making it a requirement and I would also include water damaged items. People do have health issues and can't have smoke smell items in their house. On top of that what if the item not necessarily a video game but any item is for a child and the item smells. That's just not going to work out very well. People need to think before they even list items.
  9. Isn't the reason being in business is to sell product you have? If you have many copies of 1 item the last thing as a business you would want to do is keep that product around for along time especially if you have overhead. I can understand a collector doing that but a business nah. The investment starts adding up.
  10. To me when you post videos like what they do the owner is just trying to show off what he has. To me it creates a negative image cause now you have people who have the right to give an opinion on that particular video. You will read both positive but also negative. Lots of inventory was purchased but how long will it take for that inventory to sell being that they charge more than the average seller does?
