Well I don’t mean to compare it to collecting nice uncommon physical games. I just mean to say it may have its place. Plus think of the hard drive as a multi cart tied to the console, its very hard to find these.

“this here is a low hours xbox 360 s with legit digital bangers! Non of that mod’d bootleg tacky shit. You see the thing is the games on this hard drive won’t run on another console that’s how you know it’s legit. Not to mention this baby is bone stock.”

    Mmm bone stock

Very cool! Do they come with some guarantee of authenticity? There are so many fakes out there (not saying yours are), you gotta be careful. WATA has started something that authenticates video game autographs, which is great! It's similar to what CGC does for autographed comic books --

    https://blog.watagames.com/2023/07/17/welcome-to-watagraphs/

That said, they've only done a handful of games, it would be lovely if they do more.

Nice, I didn't know wata was into autographs now, thanks for the info!! Unfortunately no proof. I didn't pay very much for either and it was kind of fun to do the research.

I asked the seller of Project Gotham Racing a little bit about themselves because they had a bunch of random 360 games signed by dev teams and interestingly enough they worked community engagement in tech moderating for teen people, wizard world (now fan expo) convention. It was enough provenance for me, along with the other signed games they had listed. I also looked through the games credits to find who the names belonged to and dots started connecting.. it all added up to me.

The guitar was listed only as autographed but a mystery by who signed. Did some detective work, at first I thought it could be one of the bands that autographed for giveaways through social media but 2 signatures isn't normal for a band. Kravitz signature was legible enough so I compared to known autographs and it looks right to me, googled more and saw kravitz and Franco did the ad campaign so looked up Francos signature and his looks the way it should too. I was planning on trying to bother the ad agency on social media to see if they autographed any during the shoots.

  6. Ya know I've had Atari stuff (not a lot, but a heavy sixer and maybe 30 loose games) for many many years but since I don't actively collect it, haven't added it to my count. Next year's list I'm gonna add it and hopefully a little more Atari since it was my first console experience along with the 800xl computer, thanks dad. 🙂

  8. @RegularGuyGamer heck yaaaaa!! definitely a killer price for that lovely gooooooooold!!

My favorite find last year was an nes classic mini at the thrift store for 5$ with 2 controllers - was missing the official power cord, but found it in the 1$ cords section the next day!! The kind of thrift find you get so very rarely, something you actually wanted but didn't want to pay full retail.

  9. Ooo I always do my count in January, so thanks for this thread to remind me!! I keep it in a little notebook that my mother in law gave me couple years back, I feel like it was around 3k last year but not completely sure. Gonna have to find the notebook because we moved and everything is still not settled in but have a good idea where it is, will report back soon.
