  1. I can't decide yet. It is kind of foundational in terms of references etc. However, the last few times I've watched it, I haven't laughed much.
  2. If you happened to purchase the "Bundle for Ukraine" a couple years ago on itch.io, you got Baba is You included. Those itch.io bundles are a bit hard to navigate, but it is there. The author also offers several "Baba" puzzle games for free in his itch collection: Hempuli - itch.io There is also a Return of the Obra Dinn demo available for free on itch.io: Return of the Obra Dinn by dukope (itch.io)
  3. Tell me this (in spoiler tags if you have to). Is there a required vs not required set of puzzles in the game? Is there some sort of "main track" and a way to discern when you are on it?
  4. Regarding Untitled Goose game - I noticed it on the list too and thought "That's a weird one to show up here." But, I've played it and would probably recommend it over some others higher on the list, so yeah. Best Goose Puzzle game eva!
  5. A lot of these are short and easy to experience relatively quickly. Of the ones I've played, I would pick these to focus on from the pre-crash systems (if you are interested of course) Attack of the Timelord - This game convinced me the O2 was worth playing. Simple vertical shooting with flicker-free graphics. It's worth getting the emulator configured just for this game IMO. Diner - An Intellivision exclusive that expands a bit on the Burgertime formula. HERO - This is probably my favorite 2600 game, but it is on a lot of platforms. It doesn't matter which one you play. Great mix of exploration, memorization, action, twitch. Pepper II - The best Colecovision game on the list is Turbo, but unless you have the wheel, it isn't really worth it. Pepper II is in the "maze" genre and holds up pretty well. You could check out HERO on Coleco too. Space Dungeon - The twin stick game that isn't Robotron. Unfortunately to play on original hardware requires two working 5200 controllers (they suck) and some sort of a controller holder. I've never tried to emulate it - perhaps you can use a modern twin stick controller on this one.
  6. Yeah, maybe the $100 covers your filing? I don't know. That would be cheaper for sure. Perhaps @xelement5x can tell us if a filing fee is still required when using the client app.
  7. Hmm. I've played The Witness the most of these (Steam says 8.9 hours), but I quit because it was just one line puzzle after another. Line puzzle on a surface, line puzzle in the walls, line puzzle across the island. It really seemed to use the same thing over and over to me. I mean, I like line puzzles, but I didn't realize the whole game was going to be made up of them. Maybe I was playing it wrong and there were some other puzzles to discover. I didn't really seem to understand where to go on the island. At least, I couldn't really make sense of how I was supposed to progress through the various "connect the line" puzzles. I eventually started wandering around looking for things that might connect into a line. That got old, and I quit. I figure I'll go back someday, but it wasn't really a great first experience.
  8. Deckbuilding bundle for fans of this general category of games: Devious Deckbuilders (pay what you want and help charity) (humblebundle.com) The only game I've played in the bundle is Floppy Knights which I liked well enough.
  9. FWIW - we just use the online version of Turbo Tax. I don't really know what the benefit of owning the client app is because the online version saves all your previous returns and files automatically for you. You do have to pay something to file depending on how complicated your return is, but I can't see a big benefit in actually owning the client.
  10. I think it was mostly Amico related that got them going at each other, but I've read Brett's works of fiction and many of his magazine articles over the years. The guy can complete a sentence just fine.
  11. I like Brett Weiss' books. I guess he kinda irked off Pat Contri at one point, but I think he is a good writer. He's written 2 books that attempt to identify the top 100 console games from 1977-1987 and also from 1988-1998. I grabbed the game list for both books and will post it behind spoiler tags below. I've played 125 of the 200 he identifies. Although, in counting those up, I didn't really pay much attention to the platform he listed. Here's a list of some of the titles from his lists that I've never played. Banjo-Kazooie Bonk's Adventure Boulder Dash Castlevanla Ill: Dracula's Curse. Donkey Kong Country. EarthBound Earthworm Jim Final Fantasy Ill Gunstar Heroes Mega Man Ninja Gaiden Panzer Dragoon Saga Phantasy Star IV Star Fox 64 Strider Super Castlevania IV Super Mario World Tempest 2000 Twisted Metal 2. Virtua Fighter
  12. I'd give myself 123 out of the top 200 on that list. Could go up or down if I give myself credit for some low playtime numbers or maybe even forgot if I've played a sequel or 2. Some of the big ones that I haven't played are below (these are in the order that the site ranked them). I could probably give myself credit for SimCity 2000 and a couple others, but this was my first pass. Shadow of the Colossus Bloodborne Super Mario World Red Dead Redemption 2 Metroid Prime StarCraft Disco Elysium Final Fantasy VI (AKA Final Fantasy III [US]) Diablo II Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (Series) Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow (1998) / Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen Counter-Strike Inside Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Super Mario Odyssey EarthBound SimCity 2000 Super Smash Bros. Melee System Shock 2 Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
