No, a greeter would be the equivalent of a modal with a dismiss property where it disappears when unfocused. This is an indismissable modal that requires direct interaction. That's the equivalent of stopping your attempt to go into the store and instead giving your direct attention to the greeter, then interacting specifically with them until they allow you to pass. There is no option to ignore.
To anyone else here that develops websites, this is a prime example of exactly what not to do.
Dick‘s Sporting Goods does this shit and I hate it.

Why is this worth so much exactly?
This was not released in the US and certainly not in longbox form. To my knowledge a mock up long box doesn’t exist of this like you see for Space Hulk or
that one football gamequarterback club 96. Like I said, I’ve never seen this before and it’s just a Vidpro card. I certainly wouldn’t pay close to that. But umm I also don’t have money -
I don’t that this would be considered a reasonable price by people that spend that kind of money but something I don’t know that I’ve encountered before and I didn’t know a better place to share this

Toto
They’re touring with Journey but they were solo here. A little disappointed I didn’t get to see Journey but they put on a good show. Everyone in that band can really sing; pretty impressive. I love grandpa shows at the casino. Out of there before 10:30 is nice.

First items I’ve bought since last summer. Finally ticked another title off my black box collection.

I started from scratch again. Luckily there were things I missed the first time around that I have been more diligent about getting more complete copies. I was able to buy back my sealed copy of A-Train from the guy I sold my collection to so I could have that variant checked off my list.
Oof that’s got to be brutal these days. When I was focusing on piecing back together my stuff a few years ago after I drunkenly sold some of it I considered seeing how far I could get on the variant set but I looked at doing like King‘s Quest and noped out of that idea pretty quickly lol. Good luck to you though. Considered trying to snag a copy of Space Hulk or anything?

Hello! I need some help from our resident historians:
Since I'm currently focused on rebuilding my long box collection, I've been really interested in making this new collection more special than the first. Well, I snagged a new "GRAIL!!!" for my small assortment of long box games. I was super excited to have gotten this! The seller told me he used to work at Konami and this was a sample long box case from Sony to give publishers an example of the box dimensions for how art and packaging might work.
I have been chatting with Jason from Gamerave.com (who has always been super nice and helpful) and he's told me these were also used in the first trade trade show displays Sony had to debut the PS1 and get companies interested in the system. He said there is a picture of that trade show booth/display that has these in the background out there, but I'm really struggling with finding it on Google. Anybody else have any interesting info? Or maybe that picture to add more context to this?
Thanks!
That’s such a cool piece to add to the set.
Did you keep any of the old set or did you start completely from scratch?

Update: I regret nothing! My years of scoffs are justified with a BIG THANKS to @T-Pac.
Dude sent a surprise package the other day. Lo and behold, I now have my very own copy of Duck Tales 2 (au français)! Along with a T-Pac original Robot Scrooge McDuck drawing. So cool.
That’s very cool. Damn, why is t-pac such a better person than me?
Now I’m on the bay looking for Muzzy VHS‘s.

Ahh yeah. Forgot Festivals were a thing. Just the thought makes my old man bones hurt. Still pretty jealous of Blind Guardian in Munich though lol

looking forward to congress not prioritizing a reasonable digital media support standard and we continue to own nothing.
They’ve shown absolutely no inclination to do anything about corporate abuses in other sectors and I don’t see why they would start here.

Road Rash II. It’s been awhile since I messed with the Genesis and I really don’t like how cheap the plastic they used for genesis stuff feels. Cart labels are so cheap too.

We need a quarantine thread for people to air their non-video game grievances no one else cares about, like when Ryan made Creed that Word doc on The Office
I agree. Like how is there even a university of Kentucky? Do they not have in-state tuition?

Everyone's always talking about the Matrix, red pill, blue pill, stay or go...
Red pill is an obvious non-starter for me. I hate multi-cultural rave orgies, and no way I'm subsisting on a diet of dank mushrooms and recycled urine. The eventual, inevitable tearing and biting death by metal mandibles doesn't appeal much either, frankly.
Blue SEEMS like the better choice upfront, but I'd still have to go to virtual work, pay virtual taxes, and listen to virtual nagging from my virtual significant other. Sigh.
So, my idea is the way forward IMO... Purple pill! Take the purple pill, leave the matrix but STAY in the pink goo pod!
Imagine the advantages! It's basically a life-long, all expenses paid goo holiday! All day, all you gotta do is wallow in a warm, nutrient rich gloop, having all your earthly needs serviced by an entire city of menacing, but ultimately servile robot overlords! No more early starts, no more scraping by to survive, no more wiping after you go number two! The benefits are endless, frankly.
Sure, some might chaff at the loss of personal autonomy, or the potential for boredom, but I'm not so sure... I never used my autonomy for much of anything anyway, and I'd imagine a bunch of those crazy tubes would come in handy for ALL sorts of entertainment options, if you catch my drift... You'd DEFINITELY be able to tune into HBO on ONE of those things, at least!
I, for one, WELCOME the pink goo pod! Who's with me?!
was this liquor or beer?
Internet chuds fantasizing about the matrix and how tough they are. What crap source material to base your self image upon. Philosophy for illiterate people.

Solid rocking cover of a classic
and while we’re on the topic of Beat it, Steve Lukather (who did all the guitar but the EVH solo) and ToTo do a nice Beatles cover:
