  1. Technically you could just not ship it and take the hit to your seller account. eBay's pretty strict these days, so I don't recommend it if you like to sell on eBay. Did you Google their address? It's possible it's someone from overseas, using a proxy service. You can usually suss this out from a Google search of the location, or even an oddly-formatted address (e.g. it has some weird box number). If so, just ship it. If they try to scam you, using proxies violates policy and they don't qualify for buyer protection. You win any case they may try to open. Do you have any other reason to think it is suspicious?
  2. Bump, feel free to make offers if you don't like prices. I am pretty firm on the PSX because of the cost of shipping. Added a copy of Mushihimesama Futari for Xbox 360 if shoot em ups are your thing.
  3. I tend to agree with RH, it was probably just removed from the package sealed for whatever reason. Intricate counterfeits were not common even when the Dreamcast was new, and this isn't a particularly valuable game. I sincerely doubt it is counterfeit. If you can post some photos, should (hopefully) be straightforward for us to help you conclude one way or the other.
  4. Not new, I'm a NA refugee. That's why I offer Zelle and Venmo as alternatives. I don't want to use PP at all, but some buyers insist on it. That's why I offer F&F as an option. Buyers can choose not to use it. If mods have an issue with that approach, they can let me know and I am happy to remove it. As I stated in my original post, I am not looking for trades. Cash is king here.
  5. No, because you basically cannot play it without the microphone. Also, FWIW, the title is simply "Seaman".
  6. Trying to clear some stuff out. Everything is in working order unless noted. Expect normal wear and tear; if you're looking for collector's condition, this might not be for you (but I'll note when something is exceptionally nice). You can try offers on the smaller stuff, but I am pretty firm on the PSX. It's big and heavy. Zelle, Cash App, or Venmo only. I have PayPal but I'm not interested in using G&S, and the rules don't allow me to require F&F, so it is what it is. PM me if you’d like to discuss using PayPal. Not looking for trades. Please send me a PM if you're interested. I can provide references on request (ebay, Mercari, etc.) Shipping is included in the price for US buyers. Non-US buyers, please ask for shipping costs. Please be aware that these are shipping from outside of the US, so shipping may take up to 60 days. I can offer faster shipping methods for additional cost, please ask. Sony PSX (DESR-7000) - $160, parts or repair ONLY. This is the big goofy DVR thing with a PS1/2 built in. Includes a power cord and a generic A/V cable (these units have standard composite & S-Video ports). The DVD Writer laser is dead, so you can only direct boot games by using FMCB (included). I also flashed the Mechacon with mechapwned so you can play NTSC-U PS2 (unfortunately this doesn’t work for PS1, JP only unless you use other workarounds. Please ask if you have questions. Namco JogCon Controller (NPC-105) - $45, seems to work okay but I am not a R4 expert and I can't say for certain that it works perfectly. Feels okay to me though. YMMV. If you're buying this for competition or something you may want to think twice. Hori Fighting Commander (Super Famicom) - $40, works fine. Hori Fighting Commander (PC Engine) - $70, works fine. Sega Saturn Power Backup Memory Cartridge (Green) - $15, works fine. Note that Saturn cartridge slots are notoriously unreliable. Please clean your cartridge slot thoroughly. Due to the pin density, even a small speck of dust can cause cartridges not to read. Game Boy Pocket Printer (PARTS/REPAIR)- $40, powers on and it sounds like the feed motor is spinning, but the photo paper roll (a small amount is included) doesn't advance. May be missing parts, or have some internal issue. Not sure. Priced accordingly. Sony PlayStation 2 Vertical Stand (SCPH-90110, Black) - $30. Looks okay to me but YMMV. Genuine part.). Mushihimesama Futari Ver. 1.5 Limited Edition (Xbox 360)- $100. Region-free, comes with an unopened soundtrack CD and the outer cardboard box. DinoPark Tycoon (3DO) - $9500. Comes in the long box with the disc, jewel case, manual, and registration card. Will send detailed photos to serious buyers. Absolutely no PayPal on this item, sorry.
  7. Bump. Motivated seller. Make me offers if you don't like the prices. Local pickup in Northern California is possible.
  8. I might be interested but can you just throw a price out there? Thanks.
  9. ebay has been doing this for many years. It's based on all kinds of factors, such as your location, your distance to the seller, the seller's ranking (not rating, but whether or not they're above performance standards etc.), whether or not they've been listing items recently, all kinds of random things. It's not dissimilar to what Google does with search results, for example. It just is what it is. ebay is the biggest game in town, probably the only one except for Mercari, which doesn't have nearly as many eyeballs on it. I tend to rely on Mercari more these days to sell used items, fees are slightly lower, and buyers have a very narrow window (72 hours) to try and scam you return the item.
  10. no longer available. thanks
  11. Individual Goodwill locations definitely sell online, on ebay and Amazon for example. I've also purchased from that account in the past, it is definitely Goodwill and not somebody misusing the name. As far as how they got a graded game, I'd speculate (in order of likelihood): Someone passed away, moved out abruptly, or lover's vengeance, and their stuff ended up at a Goodwill. This item was among the donated items. Somebody was trying to part with this and/or other things very quickly and was happy to take a tax deduction on it versus trying to make a sale. You can claim FMV as a tax deduction from the donation as long as you can prove what it is worth (the assumption here is there are other known sales of this game in similar condition). Goodwill got a sealed Gotcha Force donated to them, and one of the employees had the bright idea of getting it graded and then auctioning it off.
  12. It's been noted by several people at this point that the alleged closing date of the store doesn't match up with some of the found, and that the date given was likely just a bad guess on the part of the fellas who came across this score. Nonetheless, some real goodies in there... interested to see more of what they found down the road. Sure would be hilarious if they send all of the sealed items to Wata.
  13. Most of the discourse I've heard around grading sealed games tends to focus heavily on the condition of the seal itself. I naturally assumed that there is no way they're going to just ignore a water-damaged or sun-faded box, for example, so I wanted to clarify to ensure I wasn't getting the wrong idea one way or another. When I first browsed around their site, it wasn't immediately obvious to me that there's a letter grade just for the seal on sealed games, and the number grade for what is under the seal. Looking at it now, seems pretty obvious what is going on, so I don't know if I just missed it, or if they made changes to the site's layout/presentation to make this more obvious. Either way, thanks to everyone who helped answer my question!
  14. Thanks all! Oddly, I couldn't find anything about this subject on their site, and I thought, there is no way they're just gonna ignore any imperfections under the plastic, so I figured I'd ask to be sure. Appreciate the confirmation. I will probably skip getting the specific game that prompted this question graded as the jewel case cracked in several places (more than an inch). I'll just keep it as-is. It is pretty uncommon to find sealed copies of this, so maybe it's still worth it? I have seen two throughout the course of my entire life, and the wrap on the other one is terrible in comparison (but the jewel case isn't cracked!).
