  1. I am now considering selling my Hyundai Comboy copies of Zelda 1 and 2. Before posting on ebay, I thought it would be a good idea to ask around here if anyone was interested in making serious offers. The games are in great condition. I will post additional information and pictures as soon as possible. For now, here's a description and photos of Zelda 1: The game includes: The cartridge: Excellent condition. The box: Excellent condition with minimal wear. Instructions: Excellent condition. As usual with an old Zelda instruction manual, there are thumbprints on the outside. I have tried to get the thumbprints in the photo so you know what to expect. Hint book: Still sealed in almost new condition. The Styrofoam insert: As nice as a Styrofoam insert can be, I suppose. The game is in full working order and the battery still saves. I assume the battery is the original, though the game has not been opened. Due to the rare nature of this game, I am offering it for sale internationally. Due to the value, the game must be shipped fully insured with the buyer incurring the cost of shipping and insurance. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
  2. That's a nice collection. I've always wondered why everything else I have is complete but Icarus is missing the box, because it seems like it probably came from the same original owner. Do you remember anything about what you paid and when? I have to admit that I got mine in an absolutely ridiculous deal. I paid about $150 for all of them from a Japanese collector that was looking to offload the set on Yahoo Japan in about 2002. Even at the time I knew it had to be a great deal. "Sweet, these Zelda games must be worth at least like $50 each!"
  3. I'm not exactly looking to sell right away, but possibly in the near future. I was really kind of hoping someone else would be the canary in the coal mine and show up with a bunch of these for sale somewhere, but so far nothing over the past few years from what I've seen. I think your guess of about $1000+ for the Zeldas at this point is probably correct. I'm guessing closer to $1000 than say, several thousand, though weirder stuff has happened with values in the past. I have: Blaster Master Ghost 'N Goblins Goonies 2 (the game that made me definitely want the set) Gun.Smoke Kid Icarus (unboxed) Knight Rider Metal Gear Nintendo World Cup Pro Wrestling Tiger Heli Track and Field 2 Trojan Top Gun Zelda Zelda 2 A couple of images are attached but the forum doesn't want to let me upload them all since they're kind of big.
  4. Does anyone have any information on these other than the couple of pages that pop up when you google it? Maybe something directly in Korean? I snagged a set of 15 of them about 20 years ago. The ones I have include both of the Zelda games complete. These things pop up so rarely it's hard to put a value on them. Is there any price history at all of what these used to go for online? The most recent information I can find is this auction where a complete Gun.Smoke supposedly went for $900: Nintendo Hyundai Comboy Gun Smoke Retro Game Korean Version for NES FC | eBay The seller has had most of them listed for some time and I believe this is the first one to sell for quite awhile.
  5. Star Fox for Super Nintendo | Mercari Congrats I guess to whoever got it? Maybe? This is also a losers weepers (maybe?) as I just missed it.
  6. Thanks for the input guys. I'm still waffling as to exactly what to think of these. The Maverick Hunter X pretty much looks like those Smackdown vs. Raw examples and others I've seen around, though the vent holes tend to be in different places depending on the game in question. With reseals, would they all come out looking the same way like these do? I mean, all the Tactics Ogre examples I've seen are either "correct" examples with the y seam or they look exactly like the shrinked one I have with no exceptions. I'm not sure what the proper term would be, but they all have that "shrinked" look in the four corners of the front. If they were fakes done by hand could they all look identical like that? And why would such a large supply of presumably unwrapped copies be a thing? Factory returns?
  7. I was wondering if someone here who knows about PSP seals could help me out with something. I recently bought a few sealed PSP games. Most of them have the y fold and look completely right, but two of them look cheaply sealed. I've found examples on ebay that look the same as the ones I have. My Tactics Ogre looks exactly like the one pictured here: Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together - PSP - New 662248910321 | eBay Maverick Hunter X looks like this example (cleaner than the Tactics Ogre but still no y fold): Mega man maverick hunter x psp us english new sealed region free | eBay Does anyone know about the authenticity of these? I've found references online to seals that look like these being fake as well as references to these seals simply being from different or later print runs but legit. The thing is, even if these are official seals, how can anyone even be sure? Other copies with y folds have been available for a bit over what I paid so I'm thinking of just returning and possibly "upgrading" to one of those even if these are authentic. Thanks.
