  1. I have a clean (not perfect but very nice) COMPLETE set of 12 trading cards that were originally included with Fighting Masters on Genesis that i am willing to make a straight trade for the original Reg Card in like condition. Let me know if interested. Thanks
  2. Im not going to say "NO, there were no Canadian 32X games" but... Its HIGHLY unlikely that there would be anything like the Genesis Candian Variant Set for any other system. It would appear that situation was a specific window in time brought on by, amougst other things, Sega's failure to create its OWN Canadian distribution network prior to the launch window for the Genesis. By the time the 32X came on the scene, Sega had long-since taken over distribution for their products in Canada which brought an end to the "true" Canadian Variant Set. So wait, there's a "false" variant set? Well, to me there is and its made up of only ONE game. Its a hockey game, because of course it is...Blame Canada! This is why im NOT willing to say there are no Canadian (eh, multi language) 32X variants out there because, given Sega's propensity to make design changes more often than a baby's gets a diaper change, it COULD be out there!
  3. OK wait...KA variants? Is this not just another name for the ESRB set of BBGGs?
  4. WOW! Congrats on completing the set! Where did you come up with the California Games come from? Also, whats with the KA variants? Are they actually proper Canukistanis with the 69044 bar code prefix?
  5. Very cool! I checked all the ones i have but im still missing a few. With that being the ONLY one in the set to have that verbiage, i suspect its totally fair calling that "A Mistake".
  6. Well would ya looky here: I just noticed something "interesting" on the back of the Bio-Hazard cover art. After looking over my other Canadian variants, i think i stumbled across a legitimate ERROR by Sega. While the cover fully conforms to our current expectations for a Canadian cover format (as evidenced by the things i have circled in GREEN), I have circled in RED something i have not seen on any other Canadian release. At this point, we know the Canuky art is based off the PAL releases BUT there has yet to be a direct reference to that on any of the games. If anyone can point out another instance of this "ERROR", i would be totally happy to see it! Maybe it has shown up on other releases or reprints; would be nice to know.
  7. Got new hardware to add to the Canadian Variant set! Not sure if anyone has seen this one before but its the only one I've seen pop up on eBay over the last 5 years. While i do have an Irwin High Def Graphics console in box, this is the first time I've seen any other Irwin branded hardware. Certainly there is (was) more Irwin branded hardware available back in the day BUT what else and how much has survived with its original box and packaging? Genesis *ORIGINAL* 1st Gen 3 Button Control Pad by Irwin
  8. Two of those have been available on SR for a while, grab those: https://segaretro.org/File:GhoulsnGhosts_MD_CA_Box.jpg https://segaretro.org/File:FatalLabyrinth_MD_CA_Box.jpg Those other two are going to be tough gets.
  9. So no replies to your query after nearly a year...a shame and a chocking! Not going to be of any FACTUAL help here, just speculation but im gonna give it a tumble! (this card does not match anything in my Genesis set) SECTION 3 organised by [8bit LEFT] - [16bit CENTER] - [HH RIGHT} The fact that SECTION 3 completely fails to include SNES in the CENTER column brings one of two things to mind: (1) - this was made specifically for SNES pack-ins so there was no need to include SNES as a choice because clearly the sender owned one. Scroll back up and look at #10 Pac-Attack (1993). Notice how SECTION 3 does NOT include Genesis as an option...because clearly you owned one if you were sending that card in. This is MOST likely your cards origin story. or (2) This card was created BEFORE the announcement (let alone release) of the SNES. Chronologically, this is totally possible based on the other options listed. This may have been used for a VERY small window of time in Genesis games or even in just one game for its first production run only upon which it was revised to include SNES. This seems LEAST likely.
  10. with almost two years passing since any major update to this thread and, having occasionally lurked around the Canadian Set conversation since the old SegaAges days, im left wondering: Has anyone EVER publicly acknowledged having a complete set (regardless of which titles were known at the time)? I understand there may still be some unknown unknowns we can keep that possibility off the table for this question.
  11. Boxing Legends of the Ring Line 119 on spreadsheet. Somehow the poster was not listed as included. Its a [Boxing Legends Of The Ring / Merchandise for sale] double-sided fold out. I have 2 complete copies with this poster and each copy is factory folded with a different side facing out so it might look like there are 2 different included posters (which is not the case). Here is one example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Boxing-Legends-of-the-Ring-Sega-Genesis-Mega-Drive-System-Console-Sports/303695958013?hash=item46b5b08ffd:g:qyYAAOSwfgpfZS8G
