Just says complete the Road, doesn’t say you have to become champion. I looked back a few pages and I argued that there was no reason to actually become champion. You play through the same amount of game regardless

Wait didn’t we have that discussion a few months ago in here about how to consider it beat? I think I made the point that playing through the Road is functionally the same as “beating” it. Just minus being the champion, I’ll have to look back through this thread after work

Every time Ive been stripped of the championship I wouldn’t receive the match at Wrestlemania. I don’t remember if you will still get it if you also won the royal rumble

If I could offer some advice: Singles matches: If your already a champion of some sort, you can just leave the ring and get counted out and not lose the belt. So basically a quick skip through a match. You can do this with any match really Tag Matches: Do a finisher on the opponent in the ring, then immediately turn around and strong punch the opposing tag partner off the side of the ring. Then make the pin on the guy you did the finisher on. This keeps the opposing team member from getting back in the ring in time to break up the pin. Handicap Match: Let the other guys fight each other and just taunt the one with the higher attitude bar. Switch back and forth between them and keep taunting and keep both of their energies low. When you build up to a finisher hit one of them or both of them. Do this a couple of times until the opponents are really weak/take forever to get up and you will make the pin. Royal Rumble: Good luck, this is a bitch Remember you don’t get credits unless you win the championship at Wrestlemania, if you go into it as champion, Mcmahon will strip it from you and you won’t get to have a match for it

I go through phases and have a couple of fullsets. I’ve been focusing on N64 manuals and Switch games the past couple of years. But when I get bored with that I’ll go back to Colecovision or 5200 most likely

Only game I bought for myself was Tears of the Kingdom on that QVC deal. So that was only $40. The only other gaming items I bought were a couple of RG35XX’s for as gifts for people

Just saw something that the IRS is holding off on the $600 threshold for another year and may do a $5000 cutoff in 2025 before dropping lower to “ease” people into it. My guess is they see what’s happening with the shitshow that is the student loans starting back up and can see the writing on the wall that sending out an additional 40million tax forms (a random estimate I read) would cripple their ability to handle things and really clog up the works

They have a handful of other games it would work on too. Ive been waiting to pick up this game for cheapish and this was a good enough discount for me

But yet we’re here in Collectors Corner right now talking about what we’re all annoyed by on the internet related to gaming…we’re not talking about collecting. So sticking to the act of collecting doesn’t even work here all that well. Plus, nobody looks at sticky threads. Even if you made a mega thread for peoples pickups in the collecting sub no one would use it. Ive seen that across multiple subs “make a sticky for it.” It never works. I think that is a major formatting issue. If Im on reddit Im using my phone and always sort by newest, which doesn’t show me the sticky threads. I assume most people probably use reddit the same way and will never even know a specific place for it exists

While I understand and agree to an extent, What else would you talk about in a sub specifically for collecting if not the act of acquiring things for a collection?

Like I said I stick to gaming subs, and that’s not something Ive encountered on the N64, SNES, or NES subs

It’s for the best they get out of the limited print market (sounds like they’re going to straight retail) because they’re customer service really went down hill in recent years
