The Neo Geo CD with Furrtek's SD loader is an amazing option if you're into real hardware. The loader speeds up loading from 1x to to slightly about 4x speed which makes a HUGE difference. You can also keep your drive for original discs. Best of both worlds. Most of the early, non-fighters load once and then never again. The only real downsize is that you miss out on some of the later games.
