Oh shit I have some wii games that fit that style of print. I have to try to dig them out. I never knew where they came from. You think refurbs?
If I had to take a guess (and this is a shot in the dark) I would propose that this is a warranty replacement. Maybe this is what Nintendo would send to you if you made a warranty claim for a non-working game..
On the front sticker it has “REPL” which could possibly mean replacement

Ok I just picked this up. Had no knowledge of it, other than my primal instinct. The rabbit hole just got deeper

After finishing SOTN, I was reading about the other Metroidvania games and decided to give Aria of Sorrow a try. This game hooked me much quicker than SOTN and I'm really enjoying the small improvements made to the controls and inventory system. I played about 2 hours in my first evening. Unfortunately, the next day I went to boot it up and found that the battery in my GBA Everdrive had died and my game save was gone. I have a new battery on the way, and I guess I'm going to have to start over, but I fell in love with this game almost immediately.
I would recommend spending the extra money to get one of these rather than getting a bunch of cheap ones from China

I played the Xbox digital version which is still for sale and even goes on sale from time to time. Has the original dialog, but there were a few of the cut-scenes from the exterior castle missing (those images of the castle flying into the sky and/or flipping over). It also added an optional enhanced graphics feature and a way to re-size the screen using adjustments to the horizontal and vertical edges.
It played fine on the Xbox, and I never even once wished I was playing the original. Probably the biggest problem is the D-Pad on the X controllers aren't that great, but the analog worked pretty well most of the time.
Not sure why they couldn't have put the Saturn content into the Xbox version, but, by the end, I was done playing the game anyway.
There is a physical version of the Xbox version on a Konami compilation disk, but you will have to pay to get that.If you didn’t experience the extra areas from the Saturn, you didn’t miss anything. The Saturn port and extras were not done by the same team that made the original game on PS1. So the extra stuff is uninspired

Slightly on topic. As a budget conscious gamer who prefers physical games, is the PS4 compilation version worth getting? I hear its a sub par port of the PSP version, but at half the going rate of the PS1 version plus the inclusion of Rondo, I feel like I need to consider it. Thanks.
I don’t know if the PSP version was reformatted to the widescreen or anything like that, so can’t speak to those things. I think the most notable change was that on PSP they redid the voice acting. So the PS4 version has the PSP dialogue, not the original cheesy dialogue from PS1.
It probably doesn’t matter which version you play. Just don’t play the Saturn version… even though it has extra content, it’s considered the worst version due to not being optimized for the hardware

Bingo. TPTB need us distracted, confused and fighting each other rather than getting our heads out of our lethargic asses and recognizing that we all share the same oppressor who only wants us enslaved or dead.
I can tell you that IF we have a civil war, that would be the opportune time for enemy nations to strike us. Rather than hold down the fort, Im starting to feel like it’s about time to move to another quiet country for the next 2 years

I strongly doubt Einstein ever said this

It’s pretty clear (to me anyways) that it’s going to be a Trump nomination. Also, I can’t see Biden doing 4 more years. With the activity at the Texas border, the movie Obama recently made, and the new Civil War movie coming out in April, it seems the powers that be are priming us up for a new American Civil War for this next election. I don’t see any way this election goes smoothly

I'm surprised you can't retrofit existing pads. Is there no conductive material you can apply to them? Maybe graphite would work.
You maybe can if you know what you’re doing. But it’s so much easier to get new ones. They only cost a few dollars for the entire set

I also have some pads from Mortoff. They look just like OEM pads and really don't feel different. They were also like a few bucks for a set for two controllers.
My old ones were worn out, so they definitely needed replacements.
I bought them per your recommendation

Did you experience that your old controller buttons were dull and just didn't offer enough pushback? Or did you have playing issues aswell, like unintentional d-pad hits?
What did the new rubbers improve for you more specifically?
The problem I was having was unregistered button presses. The conductive part of the pads were no longer conductive.
The new rubbers offer more button travel and they are kind of clicky when you press them. I think with time the clickiness will fade.

I got conductive pads for my NES, SNES and master system buttons from Mortoff games. Someone on here suggested them as their product looked higher quality than others on the market. They are pretty good quality.
I bought direct from their website, although I have not been able to find their website just now. It seems they may be doing eBay sales now

I'm a full set mentality guy...if you don't go for a full set, what's the point of collecting for a console? Otherwise, it's just simply a gamers set which should consist of your childhood favs and other games you want to play from after that point.
Oxymoron. full set collecting for a set that has infinitely many titles

They’ve taken some liberties with the naming of this game

They launched with a feature and then removed it? That seems shady, people kept giving them money after that? Were they cheaper?

The Wii situation was a little different. There were two types of backward compatible PS3s. The first was the hardware compatible version. It essentially had PS2 hardware inside of it. You’ll notice they have the flap on the front that opens up for the ps2 memory card slot.
The second wave of PS3s did away with the PS2 hardware, but it had a software emulator built in that allowed you to play PS2 games. At some point, they disabled the PS2 emulator via a software update. So a lot of people were pissed because they could play PS2 games on their PS3 and then one day after an update they couldn’t.
The ones with PS2 hardware were unaffected by the update

I use the hyperkin hdmi cable. I requires a usb power source. Also, it does not display dvd video discs with the correct colors. I hear there is a dvd you can load up prior to playing dvds to make it display properly.
Be careful because the hyperkin Gamecube hdmi cables don’t work with the PAL gamecube. I got a PAL Gamecube for the RGB output because I can’t afford the stupid expensive digital video cables

Heavy disagree, end-game spoilers don't need to be stated so openly; I've added a spoiler tag to your post.
For real
Are we also not allowed to talk about how
SpoilerMario 2 on NES was just a dream?

Dude. Spoilers.
Not for me, I've finished it, but SPOILERS!
There is a finite window of time after the game releases that you have to take care not to share any spoilers.
If anyone hasn’t played the game by now, that’s their problem.
