Good time to be a ps4/xbone collector no doubt. I have made the collecting cutoff myself, switch will be my newest console to collect for, there are just so many games to get for the older systems. I might get slightly into collecting for the next nintendo console but not that hard

I'll be super tempted by Switch 2 stuff.  Maybe I end up with a curated small set.  But I'm not buying the likes of Ikaruga or the Ezio trilogy yet again.  I'll be content with most stuff in that regard.

When you randomly check Target's local stock online

Stupid digital game I had to buy to get it.

And if you don't hear from me again, it's because my wife murdered me.

I dunno man like I’ve said I’d probably skip buying it until the new version and stuck with my PS4 pro. It’s more exciting that you were able to find it in stock online and maybe the death grip of scalpers is coming to and end lol

The Xbox one X and PS4 pro basically killed the series X and ps5 for me but it took me buying both to understand that lol

with all that said - highly recommend dark plates 2.0.

So, the thing is I skipped both the PS4 and the PS4 Pro.  The years just kept going by and I kept stalling.

So now I have a decades' worth of releases newly available to me.

Oh that was well played sir especially them changing over an Xbox game pass model where you can pay like $129 a year and have access to a ton of ps4 games. I think I may have to start adopting the skip a generation method unless I have a really good reason to update to next gen.

So, with the PS5 purchase (and never owning a PS4), and PS4 games being generally dirt cheap right about now, I've been racking up wins with all of the titles I've coveted for the last decade.

Dark Souls and Dark Souls 3 for $14 each.  I've already played through Dark Souls on 360 and Switch, but fuck it.  It's always worth it.

Alwa was $17 on Prime day.  Yakuza 3-5 was $20.  Biohazard was the very first PS4 game I ordered at $22.

PXL_20220730_042821889.jpg

This was one seller on ebay for $20 shipped.

PXL_20220730_042815025.jpg

The top row was all $7-10 each, all brand new. Horizon was like $5, Need for Speed $6, Uncharted $8, Until Dawn like $13.

PXL_20220730_042802847.jpg

Gamestop 4 for $20 deals.  Clerk swapped the God of War for one with a water damaged case and I did not notice for a week, but I can always upgrade easily enough.

PXL_20220730_042753539.jpg

Top row was under $10 each, PS5 games were $20 each, Nioh set was $29.

PXL_20220730_042841252.jpg

I've also got Dark Souls 2 ($3 after amazon points), Uncharted 4 + LL (trade with @spacepup , Metal Gear Solid V Definitive ($16), Walking Dead Telltale Definitive ($16), Evil Within 1 & 2 ($13ish each), Talos Principle ($23), Cyberpunk ($11), Dishonored ($13), and an LRG order of Castlevania, all on the way.

edit: Oh, right.  I have Wolfenstein New Order + Old Blood ($12) out in my console.

Looks like you'll be plenty busy after you finish the SNES rankings. You're officially a modern gamer.

My favorites from your haul:

  1. Tomb Raider Definitive Edition
  2. Jedi Fallen Order
  3. Horizon
  4. Uncharted

It was definitely a modern gap.

PS2 and Cube? Completed over 100 games.

PS3 and 360? Completed over 100 games.

PS4? ...........

Switch? Completed over 100 games.

September stuff.

I got the top 3 from an eBay seller for $60.  Alan Wake was $20.  Greedfall $17.  Control was $17 after a coupon.  Scarlet Nexus was $13 on eBay.  Pocky was $15 after Amazon points.  Danganronpa was on sale for $40.

PXL_20220930_182024674.jpg

Red Dead was $5 at pawn shops.  Fallout was $10 after my August Amazon points. Arcania was $8.  Mordor was like $7.  Most of the rest were in the teens.  Sekiro was $25 and I gave up getting it dirt cheap.

And these are from @Jeevan

I need to finally put Returnal in my PS5 but I've been too busy with Soul Hackers 2 lately - remote play via Steam Deck has been a blessing.

Also, Danganronpa is fantastic.

I've got Ace Attorney 2 and Fata Morgana going right now, so I have to wait on Danganronpa 1, but I am eager to do it.

October hauls.

Hitman 2 was a few bucks after a coupon.  DMC5 was $20.  Bloodborne was $25.

I got tired of waiting for Trails and Duke Nukem Switch releases, so I relented on the PS4 versions.  Trails is not cheap.

NIS collection was $40.

Used an Amazon gift card for House of the Dead and Eastward.

Looks like Secret of Mana and Resident Evil 3 were from September.  Oops.

Books are thrift finds.
