My question is, why are they charged with "aggravated assault" and not attempted murder?? My understanding is that attempted murder is premeditated - which seems clear in this case. Well, maybe it's a PA law in effect that makes it aggravated assault. At any rate, I hope they don't get off easy because they are teenagers - I think this country is fed-up with this shite and midterm elections will see a hug influx of new politicians being elected who promise to go "tough on crime". What she did was put numerous people in jeopardy, and basically played with people's lives, not to mention their savings. I followed this trial, and in my mind she clearly manipulated the court and judge. She is one of those evil people that has that "gift". Yes, evil. Nothing wrong with having a failed start-up, happens all the time every day. Franklin County Common Pleas Judge Andy Miller sentenced Ellison to life in prison with the chance for parole after serving at least 33 years. This comes after Ellison pleaded guilty in October to aggravated murder with a firearm specification.
