obnoxious | 107
I've been searching about deactivating the lockout chip pin and noticed that my NES motherboard is different from most pictures. Usually, there are three capacitors around the chip (two electrolytic, one ceramic). They are placed elsewhere on mine. Is this relevant or something, maybe an earlier rev? Looking at the datecodes, the top one is from early 1989 and yours is from late 1991.

Where can I get more information about this kind of stuff (boards, revs and such)? Edited October 18, 2021 by obnoxious

Specifically for the NES console? I'm not sure as I don't know a whole lot about it's revisions either. For games, bootgod (http://bootgod.dyndns.org:7777/home.php) is the best resource. I've looked through it enough that I can decode most IC date codes.
