While looking up Elemental Gearbolt: Assassin’s Case edition, I looked up info on the Namco light gun. I know people like both Time Crisis and Point Blank, but which do you prefer? 

The on rail shooter as a cop, or the warioware of light gun games?

Both but the gun needs to have the recoil action or it’s no fun

Both are fun, but I spent a lot of time with Time Crisis. Loved it back in the day.

I have more nostalgia for Point Blank and it offers something different than the usual on-rails campaign most light gun games offer. I remember playing the arcade cab whenever I visited a certain one store with my dad, might've encountered it in some other places too. I most vividly remember the stand-offs with the falling leaf challenge.

The most nostalgic light gun cab for me is Area 51 though and Silent Scope rocks the second place. Point Blank would be my third pick, if I were to buy arcade cabs.

Both. I can't vote. I love light gun games and play both of these series regularly. Point Blank more for quick co-op fun but TC for a more prolonged experience. I grinded TC1 on PS1 for like a month and had every guy/time bonuses memorized in each scenario a number of years ago. I was hooked.

So Generic Crisis or as you said, the wario ware of gun games, long before there was even a wario ware... go for point blank far better served with that whacked out random fun than another generic cop shooter.
